Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre
Peter Jackson's wonderful collection of classic aircraft from WW1 and WW2. Perfectly restored and real life like displays of scenes from that era. He is well known for the film Lord of the Rings and Avatar. A cafe and memorabilia is available at the venue.

5.00First I have to apologize as this is wildly overdue. Initially I reached out to Pamela via email and we were able to organize a one-day private tour for my wife and I, accompanied by our 12 year old daughter who's effectively a teenager. Trying to combine a scenic and wine tasting experience while also creating some fun for our city daughter and giving her some feel for a more rural existence. Well- the American phrase to best describe it, is, Pamela "knocked it out of the park". Wine tasting, beautiful vistas, farm visits for our daughter (and a special surprise even I did not know about!) And Pamela bent over backwards to organize our transfers from the airport in the AM and to Linkwater in the evening. On top of all that, it was terrifically pleasant just to spend the day with Pamela and her local knowledge. Phenomenal. Tremendous memories, absolutely the best money we spent in New Zealand, can't recommend Pamela March & Your Local Chauffeur highly enough. Belatedly, thank you again Pamela! We truly hope to be back.
