Introduction to indigenous grape varieties and the tradition of Kordula's winemaking

Hear the story of Korcula's winemaking tradition and famous grapes entertainingly. Right at the heart of the old town Korčula, on the famous walls of Korcula overlooking the Peljesac channel, one of the most renowned restaurants will guide you through the scents and aromas of the timeless Mediterranean.

What To Expect

We are proud to invite you to be a guest at one of our infotainment wine tastings. Hear the story of Korčula’s winemaking tradition and famous grapes in a fun and entertaining way. Right at the heart of the old town Korčula, on the famous promenade overlooking Peljesac peninsula and the channel, one of the most renowned restaurants will guide you through the scents and aromas of the timeless Mediterranean. Our team of wine connoisseurs and chefs will pair each indigenous variety with a traditional bite-size dish to lead you through our customs of enjoying wine while telling you a tale of our most precious local wines. We offer 5 or 7 labels in our short or long wine tasting, respectively, during a 2 hours event led by our in-house WSET (Wine & Spirits Education Trust) level 3 educator. Atop of ancient town walls, you will not only see Korčula, you will taste Korčula.

A lovely few hours in Korcula old town - we tasted 5 wines, learned about the history of winemaking on Korcula and this was accompanied by generous tapas of prosciutto and cheese, also lardo on delicious bread. All of the at restaurant Filippi, overlooking the beautiful Adriatic Sea! The wine expert is knowledgeable and charming, and even suggested a choice for our 5th wine to take into account our preferences. A great experience that we would both recommend without hesitation, you won’t be disappointed!

Great, personalized wine tasting with expert, Kruno. Met at Filippi Restaurant to learn that my husband and i were the only Ones on the tour. Started with a sparkling rose, then a standard posip, then one aged in oak, then a zin and lastly orange wine. Kruno grew up on the island and really inows the wines and their history and context. The setting was sitting by the seawall with incredible Adriatic views on a sunny, clear day. Highly recommend.
