We did the private tour with Andrea and it surpassed all expectations. We were picked up at our door in a luxury SUV and made it into the park before sunrise to increase chances at seeing the wolves. Besides being a knowledgeable biologist Andrea is a great person and educated us on the ecosystem, the fauna and the history of the park. We had a "3 dog day" seeing the wolves, coyotes and a red fox in addition to him finding all the other highlights of the american safari. I thought 8 hours was going to be a bit long but it flew by thanks to his great touring skills.

We had a fantastic experience at Yellowstone thanks to Yellowstone Adventure Tours. Randolph our tour guide was excellent. His knowledge of the park was second to none and he went out of his way to make sure we saw as many animals as possible during our visit. The SUV was very comfortable and the coffee and snacks were a nice touch.

We had a great half day tour with Zack. He was enthusiastic, knowledgable, and interested in making sure we saw the animals we were hoping to see. He had a few "off the beaten path" areas that were highlights of the day. Would highly recommend him again. I took one star off the review because despite telling the company twice via correspondence that one of our group had peanut/treenut allergies, we were given lunches with nuts in the cookies and it did not seem that Zack had been made aware of the situation. Not Zack's fault at all, but whoever arranged the lunches did not follow through with making sure they were safe. Yellowstone in the winter is not where you want to deal with anaphylaxis.

Our group of eight did a Yellowstone tour with guide Zack on Jan 2, 2026. The entire day was fantastic. We saw all the animals we expected to see as well as those we only hoped for—wolves, mountain goats, big horn sheep, a fox, and even a pigmy owl. These were all possible because of Zack’s knowledge of recent animal movements in the park, uncrowded vantage points that gave us unique perspectives on animal movements, and his uncanny vision. We were all pleased with the pace of the day, the comfort level of the vehicle, and even the provided lunch. Highly recommend a private tour with Yellowstone Adventure Tours.

Zak was amazing! The tour itself was awesome, but it was made even better by Zak's knowledge of flora and fauna and good eye for finding just the right spot to see so much wildlife. We had a 3 dog day (wolves, coyotes, fox) along with all the big critters--bison, big horned sheep, mountain goats, elk, deer and more. We will totally hire this tour company again....especially Zak as our teacher!

We just completed a five-day winter wildlife and natural wonders tour with Yellowstone Adventure Tours, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. Our guides, Andrea and Derek, were phenomenal. Andrea is incredibly knowledgeable, smart, and serious about his work in the best possible way, while also being kind and very tuned in to guest comfort and satisfaction. Derek brought a fun, laid-back energy while being equally knowledgeable and professional. If either of them didn’t know an answer immediately, they would look it up or call someone who did—nothing was ever brushed off, and nothing was too much trouble. Both went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were happy and seeing as much wildlife as possible. They provided breakfast each morning, packed lunches for us, and gave great recommendations for dinners. The only aspect that wasn’t quite five-star was the lunch, but the company is already aware and appears to be switching providers based on feedback, which we appreciated. The wildlife sightings were incredible. Our first two days in the Lamar Valley included fox, bison, coyotes, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, elk, and—amazingly—two separate wolf packs. The next two days were inside Yellowstone by snowcoach, where we saw large numbers of bison and stunning scenery, including Old Faithful, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, waterfalls, geysers, and other geothermal features. The winter views were absolutely spectacular. On the final day we returned north and saw a coyote, elk, and moose. After the tour, Derek even took us to our hotel near the Bozeman airport via Old Yellowstone Road, where we spotted more pronghorn and bighorn sheep and enjoyed beautiful ranch scenery—an unexpected and wonderful extra. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the pricing was very reasonable for the level of expertise and care, and the guides’ wildlife spotting skills were outstanding. I cannot recommend Yellowstone Adventure Tours highly enough. Andrea and Derek made this trip unforgettable. I would absolutely do it again in a heartbeat.

Travis was an AWESOME guide! From the minute he picked us up at our Airbnb he was super informative and kind. We felt very comfortable with him, like an old friend! Our boys (15 and 12) asked him all sorts of questions and they really enjoyed the day! Travis spotted animals we would have never seen had we been on our own. Lunch was delicious and he had a cooler packed with drinks and snacks too! We all had the best time!

We had the best day in Yellowstone, with Randolph. We were a group of 7 and ages ranged from 10-73. Randolph began communicating a few days in advance to organize pickup time and location. He asked us what animals we were hoping to see and he delivered! Of course, there is no guarantee with wildlife, but he went out of his way to take us to spots where the animals we wanted to see had been seen in the past. Randolph was so knowledgeable about the park, wildlife and history so the time spent driving from one location to the next was wonderful. Added bonus was the 14 year old was desperate to sled so Randolph let us throw a sled in the back of the car and stopped at a viewing spot with a great hill.
