Zhujiajiao Kezhi Garden
Kezhi Garden is a large manor-style garden,It was built by Ma Wenqing in 1912 and took 15 years to complete. The name "Kezhi" signifies the idea of "studying while planting," reflecting the owner's philosophy of balancing education and agriculture.

5.00What an incredible experience! Mary, our guide, was very kind, gave us interesting details about Shanghai and Zhu Jia Jiao. The woman that did our make-up and hair did an incredible job. I felt like a doll and the hanfu was beautiful. Jason is an excellent photographer and guided us through various parts of the garden while also explaining some of the landmarks. Even though it was a busy Sunday we were able to get some stunning photos that felt serene despite the crowd. While we waited on the photos we got a taste of local street food and walked through the town. Mary is wonderful and the photo studio is top notch. I highly recommend this tour if you want a slightly different experience than just walking around!

5.00Great for first time / solo traveler, Mary picked up from the lobby straight to Zhujiajiao water town. There we had costume to pick, make up and hairstyles of choice. Later we did photography sessions in the Ma Garden inside the water town and surrounding areas. It took 1 hour photography approximately with 1 hour drive to and back to city. Mary explaining the stories of town while photographing and Hunter is a professional photographer. He guide you along for poses and props like fan, umbrella After all done, we are to choose pictures. They are friendly and helpful. It’s worth all the way the effort.

5.00I love this photography tour. The makeup artist did a very good job, love my dress, makeup and hair. The photographer was very patient and showed me how to pose. My tour guide was very professional and nice. I had a very good time.

5.00It was a really nice experience. It was exactly how its stated in the description with all the service. The tour was really nice and has a rich story. You will see many traditional shops and places with a nice view. I highly recommend to visit this place.

5.00From selecting our outfits and hairstyles to helping us hold the props during the photo shoot to even helping us select our final five images, Mary made the entire experience easy and fun! We scheduled a pickup for 9am at our hotel in Shanghai and rode comfortably to the photo studio in Zhujiajiao. We had our pick of hanfu or qipao, and our guide/translator Mary was amazing at helping us throughout the experience. She also made recommendations for lunch and went with us to CHAGEE to order — definitely going above and beyond to show us the water town. Highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes (they won’t be in the photograph so don’t worry) as you’ll be walking all around the private garden.
