Chateauneuf-du-Pape
On this full day journey, depart for the famous Chateauneuf du Pape vineyard. As you reach this historic wine producing region (planted by the Romans during the 14th century), discover the village & its ancient castle that was the summer residence of the Pope's during their stay in the area and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view on the valley. During the morning, you will visit and taste local wines in a carefully selected winery. At lunch, your guide will suggest different local options. After lunch, experience your second Chateauneuf du Pape winery tour. In each winery of the day, you will first be introduced to the estate and its history. Then, your visit will focus on the wine making process and the visit of the technical installations. The local wines are well known for their full bodied red wines made predominantly with different grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, typical local grapes in south of France. After the second visit, we will take you back to Aix.

Camille knows the region very well and she provided a lot of information to help us understand wine appellation and other terminology more easily. I would highly recommend this tour!

Camille was an amazing guide. The whole day was perfect. We went to two wine estates. Both were beautiful, fun, and slightly different from each other to show the different sides of the regions. We had a lovely lunch and tour of the village. Camille was so kind, easy to talk to, and had so much knowledge of not just the wine, but the history of the region. Don’t skip this one!

Julian was an extremely good, patient guide. He’s very knowledgeable about the area. Overall, we had a great time. It was unfortunate that the first winery we visited provided a wine for tasting that several in our group really liked when the winery didn’t have any of that wine to sell. Poor form on their part, but not the fault of the tour guide.
