Fun trip to see the Austrian countryside and filming sights from the Sound of Music. We listened to music from the Sound of Music during the ride, and our guide taught us all about the history and fun facts of the movie.

The tour was April 20. There were 8 of us in a minivan. The guide was a very nice and kind gentleman. But the van was so small, and we were in the back seat with coats on. I could not see the sights since the head rest was there in front of me. A baby was in the center of the middle seat and crying. I was claustrophobic in the back seat. I could not see out well, neither could my husband who had a window seat. A kind gentleman offered to let me sit in front. If it weren't for that, I would not have tolerated and would have asked to get out. The van is not a tall van, but rather a mini van. I would have rather stayed in Salzburg and gone to the castle and other sights. Which we missed. We missed almost everything in town since the guide took us many miles out of town to see the church where the wedding took place in the movie.

We like The Sound of Music and everyone we know recommended a SOM tour. We picked Bob's because we could do a small group. It was interesting to learn about Salzburg and to be able to see things outside of the city. Our guide was fun and informative.

Our guide was personable and knowledgeable; not only about the Sound of Music movie experience but a lot historical events occurring during the filming and probably lesser well known cast interactions j

Elvis was a super guide! He was so knowledgeable about the sound of music sites as well as Salzburg itself. He was very mindful to notice good photo opportunities to take of us at the sites. He welcomed any and all questions and answered them thoroughly. He was just a pleasure to be with!

Our tour guide Elvis was a great tour guide and took us to the key locations relating to movie Sound of Music. Be in a small 8 person group was much better and more intimate than being in a 40+ person bus. Took us to all the best places and places in an 8 person tour where big buses can’t go. His stories were fun and informative.

Elvis with Bob’s Tours did a phenomenal job on the Sound of Music Tour. We saw many filming sites as well as learned backstage information about the filming and the original story. In addition, we learned about Salzburg and Austrian history, which was an added bonus. It was one of our favorite afternoons in Salzburg!

Sound of Music tour guide Robin gave us a wonderful tour of the sites for this amazing film. He had so many insights at each of the many locations we visited with him and made each stop fun and enjoyable. He was knowledgeable, personable, kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend Bob’s Tours for a small group experience.
