This is our most popular experience and an easy tour along the river, through islands, and into the heart of coastal New Hampshire.

You will pedal along the quiet streets near the Piscataqua River and the Atlantic Ocean while exploring Portsmouth’s islands, stopping at historic sites and riding along the quaint streets of New Castle Island.

This tour is built for travelers who want to move a little, explore, and feel the coast and harbor beneath their wheels.

You’ll ride through island routes and along lively harbor edges, passing working docks, quiet waterfront stretches, and classic coastal neighborhoods. The route keeps you close to the water and constantly changing scenery, creating a sense of momentum and discovery the entire way.

With a knowledgeable local guide leading the way, you’ll venture beyond the obvious viewpoints and into places most visitors never reach — hearing stories of the harbor, the islands, and the maritime history that shaped this coastline.

Beautiful day for a bike ride. Steve was awesome sharing the history. (Very nice guy 😊). We learned about the history of this port town.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and also safety minded when I was having some difficulty in managing a 7-speed bicycle, not having experience with that kind of bike. Tour guide adapted the route but still kept our interest for the full scheduled time.

We had an absolutely fabulous time on the Island and harbor bike tour! It was such a lovely way to spend the afternoon! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Portsmouth. In addition, she was friendly and funny too. We learned so much about the history of Portsmouth, saw some beautiful sights we wouldnt have seen otherwise , had a great ride and had lots of laughs throughout the afternoon. Our tour ended up being over 3 hours (she made sure none of us had to be back for anything). We could have spent the entire day on this tour. Truly an AMAZING experience! We are scheduled for the city tour tomorrow and cannot wait!

My husband and I enjoyed this trip/tour very much. I was confused to the details of the tour as I didn’t see that when I signed up – meaning length, terrain etc. due to medical conditions I do have some problems with hills, but when I spoke to Dawn about this she readily helped me. She is fantastic! She has a very nice manner with people, and was full of interesting history and anecdoteS. The tour itself was beautiful. Thx Dawn!
