With this tour, you'll get to visit one of the longest navigable underground river in the world. With the help of your guide, you'll get to know more of Puerto Princesa & the wonderful flora and fauna found only in our island.
The activity includes pick up from your hotel within 15 kilometers of the airport. We will advise you of your exact pick up time before 7 PM the day prior so you know what time you'll prepare. Have a heavy breakfast because travel time from the city to the wharf is 2 hours.
Waiting time is inevitable considering that this is one of the most popular tours in Puerto Princesa. Despite this, your guide will endeavor to provide you with one of the most memorable trips in Palawan.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and after, you have the option to join a zip line flight and help the local community who organizes this activity, so expect to be in groups with side trip as this is a shared/joiner package tour.
You'll be back at your hotel between 4-5PM.

What To Expect
Puerto Princesa Underground River
The star of this activity - you will get a change to go inside one of the longest navigable Underground River in the world. This natural wonder has also been inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage Sites list.
Sabang Beach
This stop is where you can do the Ziplining and Mangrove paddle boat activity which is our way of helping the community of Tagabinet, Puerto Princesa. The locals have created a cooperative to operate a zip line flight facility in their area. By stopping here, you can also help the people in their livelihood. The activities offered here are optional; if some guests would like to sit this one out, they may wait for the others in the area.

5.00The Underground River Tour is a must for anyone visiting Puerto Princesa. The Underground River was unlike any other experience I’ve had, from the turquoise blue water, to the stalagmites/ stalactites, to the bats hanging from the ceiling. My partner and I also did the mangrove tour, which was a good add-on. We learned some scientific facts about the mangroves, like how they protect the ecosystem from tsunamis, and about the animals that live amongst them. Prepare for about a 2 hour ride from Puerto Princesa city center to the jumping off point. It’s a long day, but the activities are fun, the lunch is filling, and the tour guides give you time to explore a little bit.

2.00Echo was a great tour guide. He’s friendly and easy to talk to and I’d love to have him as a guide on another tour. The two stars are mainly because of how great he was. Unfortunately this was not my favorite activity. I was solo and I ended up with someone who talked the entire time during the underground river tour (despite being told to be silent multiple times)- I couldn’t hear my own audio. The underground river tour was cool but I would’ve liked it better if allowed to sit in quiet and listen to the audio. The person next to me was a blogger and announced that - I don’t think I should need to sit with him because I was solo. It ruined the experience for me.

5.00A very enjoyable tour to visit the underground river in Puerta Princessa. Our guide Benj was excellent and good fun. We really enjoyed the paddle boat through the Mangroves but wished we could have had less talking and more quiet to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Lunch was very good.

5.00It was such a lovely trip from the guide to the activities. I think it worked well because we were also a smaller group. As a vegetarian, I loved that there was an option for me. I enjoyed sights from the hotel and back.

5.00An excellent day out, first seeing the impressive underground river, then a good lunch, followed by the amazing Sabang zipline. Things to note - wear shoes and clothes that can handle getting wet, since we ended up wading to get to and from boats. There's some waiting around for the boat to get out to the river, so be prepared for that. The zipline has a short climb through the forests.

4.00Great tour! The guide is nice. The transportation arrangements after tour is really bad. Driver took more than one hour late than expected and with no clear communication for the update of status. Very frustrating. The van is overloaded and not safe. The driver keep look at the phone and talking and texting while driving

Our tour guide, Mario, was excellent — very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. He explained the sights clearly and made the whole experience enjoyable and informative. 4.00Visiting the Puerto Princesa Underground River was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The cave itself is stunning, and I really appreciated the audio guide, which provided helpful history and interesting facts throughout the experience. It truly enhanced the tour. One important heads-up: if you plan on doing the zipline, be prepared for a challenging hike. The trail is very steep, rocky, and involves a lot of uphill and downhill walking. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, but I can’t imagine doing that hike in extreme heat. Proper shoes and a good level of fitness are a must. The guides were nice, friendly, and helpful throughout the day. Overall, this was a great experience and well worth doing, just be sure to come prepared for the physical portions of the tour.

1.00It was horrible. The underground river tour was the number one thing I wanted to do during my first visit to Palawan. TravelCart Tour Services took my reservation for me and my family. They confirmed and even asked for information on each of us to be added to the passes at the river. Then, the night before the excursion, they messaged me saying it was cancelled. It turns out that it’s because it was a holiday that day so all river tours were cancelled. The holiday was planned obviously so why did they accept my booking??? I will go back someday but I will absolutely not use them for my booking.
