Very nice and beautiful walk along wild sea. The circular walk takes about 30 minutes. It is free and ample parking. During the walk you will pass mighty vistas, wild sea and perhaps a dolphin. Also the special pancake rocks are worth Definitely recommended. Punakaki is in the middle of nowhere. A trip here takes hours. We passed it during our tour and we are glad we stopped here.

This was a Highlight of our New Zealand experience! Linda picked us up at the Train station after the Trans Alpine ride and we were driven to the Pancake rocks. Anyone can do that but NO ONE shares her love of the land, people, flora and rocks like Linda! We fell in love with drizzling, Greymouth! Loved the pancake rocks- so unique that they will be in our Christmas card - and then she took us for "tea" at a local hotel - overlooking the ocean! Linda brought our experience alive for us! Thank you Linda for sharing your passion!

We have done this walk before, many years ago. More commercialized area now but still no cost to do the walkway, and is well fenced, pathways are well maintained. Never fails to amaze, the views are spectacular.

What an amazing tour of an incredible place! Explore West Coast Tour and especially Linda for the wonderful tour today took excellent care of us, showing us beautiful scenery in Greymouth and on the way to Pancake Rocks. Linda fabulous and so knowledgeable of history and the local animals and plants - we learned a lot and had fun doing it. The van is comfortable and the half day tour is well planned and even better than the description. The tea stop was a fantastic treat to cap our terrific afternoon with Linda. I will use this company anytime I can and I strongly recommend them - Linda too.

Absolutely loved this experience. We visited in low and high tide and the difference was breathtaking. I have always loved the sea and this was a wonderful way to experience it: the walk is mostly level with some staircases and every corner provides a different view of the rock pools or blow holes. Magical.

Our friendly, knowledgable and informative Guide Linda adapted our tour on the day, to meet our interests. This included, among others, the "Paparoa Experience" within the Punangairi Visitor Centre, that provided an enlightening historical cultural context to our tour experience. While the Pancake Rocks were amazing, we enjoyed Linda's drawing our attention to other places, people, flora and fauna, eg the Nikau Palm grove. Thank you, a wonderful day.
