An unforgettable layover in Cairo - highly recommended!

5.00We booked the Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum Layover tour for a daytrip to Cairo from Hurghada, and it exceeded all our expectations. Hazem was our guide, and honestly, we couldn’t have wished for anyone better. Our flight was delayed by two hours, so we were a bit concerned about feeling rushed or missing out, but thanks to this private tour and Hazem’s incredible expertise and flexibility, we were able to make the absolute most of our time. We started at the Pyramids, where we could fully take in the breathtaking views from the panorama point and also explore up close. We even went inside one of the smaller pyramids (no extra fee and no queue!) and visited the Sphinx. Hazem also turned out to be an excellent photographer, capturing so many beautiful moments for us. Something we really appreciated. After that, we stopped at an artisanal perfume shop. We had expected to learn something about the oils used in mummification, but that wasn’t really the focus. While interesting for some, it wasn’t entirely what we had in mind. Next, we visited the relatively new Grand Egyptian Museum. Despite our limited time, Hazem guided us smoothly through the highlights and still made sure we had enough time to queue for and capture the perfect photo of Tutankhamun’s death mask. He also carefully managed the timing so we got back to the airport just in time for our return flight, which gave us great peace of mind. All in all, we absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a short but rich introduction to Cairo. And if you can, definitely ask for Hazem—he truly made this experience unforgettable. Thank you so much!

5.00Excellent "layover" tour of the Pyramids and GEM. We had actually only signed up to do a pyramid tour but on the day the operator was super flexible to change the itinerary and add the GEM, which was the right call. The car was incredibly comfortable and clean, and the driver was professional. They picked us up at the luggage belt in the airport, and dropped us off at the terminal check-in at the end of it, while holding onto our luggages. Such a smooth experience. But let me tell you about the guide...Hazem was the best guide we've ever had. We typically have low tolerance for logorrheic and boring guides, but Hazem was nothing like it. He tailored his tour and explanation based on what we enjoy doing when sightseeing, without overloading us with details we'd forget in 15 minutes. He knew all the best spots to take pictures and took them for us (very talented at it!!). He knew we didn't have a lot of time (<3 hours for pyramids and GEM!!) and was able to do a fast-track tour of both, ensuring we'd see the highlights and make the most of our tour. He was funny and also very caring, you'd see him frequently helping / offering help to other tourists in distress. Honestly, you can tell how passionate Hazem is about his job and about making sure that tourists have a great experience in his city and country. Thank you Hazem!!

He explained the history clearly, answered our questions with patience, and made the tour both enjoyable and informative. We especially appreciated his warm manner and professional attitude. He helped make the whole experience smooth, interesting, and memorable. We would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Cairo.
