What can I say! - Peter is a fountain of Liverpool history knowledge. I was lucky enough to go on the ‘Docks’ guided tour and was joined by a fellow local history fan, my Mother Pat. The amount of local history Peter has was fantastic and we both really enjoyed Peter’s way of breaking down the amazing history of the waterfront of this great city. Cannot recommend a tour with Peter highly enough. Keep up the great work.

I highly recommend having Peter as your tour guide if you're wanting to come to Liverpool! Peter started the tour by the docks, and right from the start the history was so rich. He explained how the Liver Building and Liver Birds came about, and also pointed out the balcony where they announced the deaths from the Titanic. It’s crazy to think there’s so much deep history hidden in plain sight, and most of us would just walk past without ever knowing. Peter was also really thoughtful and kept us constantly in the shade on one of the hottest days in Liverpool. You can tell he really cares about making sure you’re comfortable and looked after. The tour itself was packed with fascinating stories and architectural facts. The walk down Mathew Street is unmissable, but he also made plenty of other great stops along the way. Too bad some museums were closed for renovation, but honestly there was still so much to see and learn. I loved finding out that skyscrapers as we know them today might not even exist without Liverpool, and also how many movies have been filmed here. One of my favourite takeaways was how a building’s design acted as a form of advertisement, kind of like their own personal ‘TikTok page’ back in the day. Such a cool way he puts things, making history feel fun and relatable. Peter’s knowledge is endless, but what makes him special is that he shares it in such a passionate and funny way and you can defiitely tell how much he cares for Liverpool. At the end of the tour, he even gave us great recommendations for local pubs! Ended up going to Hobo Kiosk which was a really quirky with lots of crazy good art deco, go check it out if you have time! Thanks so much Peter! If you’re into architecture, history, or just want to get to know Liverpool more, Peter is definitely the perfect tour guide!
