Join us for a thrilling 1- or 2-hour adventure in our new 1000cc Honda buggy, where our expert guide takes the wheel while you relax and soak in the spectacular views across our exclusive 650-acre property. Traverse thrilling off-road trails, pause at breathtaking viewpoints, and discover Queenstown’s rich history—from its gold mining heritage to its status as the adventure capital of New Zealand.
Suitable for all ages, with participants welcome from just 4 years old, this tour offers the perfect blend of comfort, exploration, and awe-inspiring scenery for an unforgettable experience.
Return transfers from central Queenstown are included. Please allow an additional 30 minutes for check-in and transfers.

Duration: Allow 1.5 hours in total duration with 60 minutes of solid off road action
Departures: Confirmed tours depart daily at 10am and 3pm. Please check-in 15 minutes before your departure time.
Check-in location: The Off Road Adventure Centre, 61A Shotover St in central Queenstown. Please check-in 10 minutes before your departure time. Transfers are included although you can self-drive to the site.
We provide: Transport to and from our shop in central Queenstown, late model 4x4 machines, helmets, eye protection. Wet weather jacket/pants available if required.
We recommend: Wearing sensible clothing that you will be comfortable in & don’t mind getting dusty. Feel free to bring water, food, a camera and a bag with you.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Mountain Express (1hr ride)
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes: Great scenic off-road buggy ride as a passenger. Great views, multiple photo stops, and varied terrain.
Private buggy (no driving): No bond, no driver's licence required. Basic English is sufficient.

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes: A longer, more immersive ride-along off-road buggy tour with more scenic lookout stops and photo opportunities.

5.00Our guide Stef was amazing and very knowledgeable about the area. We asked a lot of questions about geology, plant life, and invasive species, which he answered with ease. He was also super supportive during our practice course driving and giving some really good tips to help us feel comfortable. I would happily do this trek again or aim for something longer!

5.00Sam accepted our last minute booking and we are glad he did. Had so much fun and felt more like a hang out then a guided tour. Sam was very friendly and made the trip much more enjoyable, especially considering we had never been on quads before. Would definitely recommend everyone to experience.

5.00This experience was the best!! Thrill seekers will love every minute of this 2 hour adventure. It was the perfect amount of mud and adrenaline. My husband was like a little kid!! Scott our guide was amazing! He had as much fun as we did chewing up the dirt as we flew around the tracks. All the protective gear is supplied to keep you as clean as possible. Totally recommend this when in Queenstown.
