This was one of the best tours I've been on, if not the best! The guide was so knowledgeable and extremely patient with me as I knew very little Portuguese. Even with the language barrier, I gained so much from every part of the tour. The lunch was the cherry on top! I loved this tour so much, I plan to return with friends and an interpreter :-)

The tour was simply excellent! From the attendance to the accompaniment of the guide, everything was wonderful. I was very well received, felt welcomed and took advantage of every moment. Immaculate experience, I recommend with my eyes closed!

A wonderful park. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was literally nobody but me and my boyfriend and the park staff. It had just rained and the mountain was covered, but it was still beautiful. A park that reconstructed the past history. People still live there. It's a pity that the audio guides weren't working, it seems like there was no power in the whole park. I recommend the visit which is free.

It was the best walk I did in Maceió. A spring of culture and important information!!! Note 1000 pro guide Antônio, from Luck tourism for the wealth of data and knowledge of the subject!!! Gave a real show of quilombola culture!!! Comfortable bus and lots of cultural infrastructure in Quilombo!! I couldn’t help but mention the Baobá restaurant, as a restaurant capriciously decorated and food carelessly prepared by so dear and loving mother Neide. Kilombola root food of excellent quality. Congratulations to all involved in this project!! Thanks to Msno Gil for so much history and teaching. Mr. Antonio driver who took us and brought us with a lot of zeal!!! Parabéns

They should include in the name of the tour or add in the description that is almost an immersion in the Candomblé, including a ritual that the guide Gil does at the beginning that cites being only a greeting in a wheel with water with herbs being thrown in the middle of the music did not leave my relatives comfortable, we went only to learn history and about the blacks and slaves but not focused on their religion. I respect religion, but this is not what we seek on this tour, but again it needs to be explicit that it is a cultural and religious tour of the Candomblé.

The visit to the park was fantastic. We were welcomed by master capoeirist Gil, who introduced us to the history of struggle, resistance and collectivity of the Quilombo dos Palmares. I give 5 stars to him and the other people from Memorial Park who have welcomed us. Already in relation to the tourism company (Luck Receptivo) we have complaints to register. We contracted the service at the price announced on Trip Advisor (R$110,00), where it is stated that additional services such as, for example, a capoeira presentation and the tasting of chequeté (traditional drink from the quilombo) in Memorial Park and lunch at the Baobá restaurant are not included. However, after making the payment, I received a message from Luck on WhatsApp saying that there would be a mandatory fee of R$95.00 for these services. I informed that we had no interest in lunch at the restaurant and we preferred to bring sandwiches, to which we were answered that the fee should be paid even without lunch at the venue. In addition, it should be paid exclusively in cash to the guide, who would do the transfer to the other parties. When confronted that this constitutes a married sale, a practice prohibited by the Consumer Protection Code, they exonerated themselves from responsibility by saying that they were just passing information about the ride. On the day of the tour, the bus made a stop at the Baoba Restaurant and we were pressured again to pay such a "tax". Only after we insisted that we would not pay for something that we did not consume the guide informed that there would be no problem not to pay. P.S.: We didn't want to pay for lunch we didn't eat, but we wanted to make a contribution to the Memorial Park staff, because we really liked the quilombo ride. However, when I asked the lady at the restaurant if she could give her the value, she said it would not be possible since the restaurant and the quilombo and the Memorial Park were separate. In the end, we realized that the "tax" is a combined between the receptive and the restaurant.

This was one of the highlights of my visit to Alagoas. To be able to visit the place where one day was the largest Brazilian quilombo and receive a class of history, society, citizenship has no price! It was fantastic, a necessary social experience! Emotion, reflection, vivid history and lots of energy from freedom and diversity at Quilombo dos Palmares ❤️

There is no restaurant inside the Quilombo but it has good infrastructure. Not to mention that it is a big piece of Brazil’s history. The view is stunning and the road is good.
