What To Expect
Quito Old Town
Explore truly unique experience in the heart of Quito city and discovering its history from a local eye; walk around its narrow streets visiting the most iconic architecture buildings such as; the Golden Church, San Francisco Square, the Main Square and at the same time visit Luis´ local workshop “Cruz Verde”, a well know artisan whose family has prepared the local candy “Colaciones” for the last 100 years keeping alive Quito´s tradition. For lunch, we will have the opportunity to seat with locals and enjoy a tasty meal freshly prepared using local products and flavors. In the afternoon, we will visit the Proyecto Salesiano Foundation dedicated to educate and support local homeless children. Our main goal is to interact with the kids and learn about their different situations and reality. With your visit, you are already contributing to the effort made by AJ and the Foundation helping the education of the children.

5.00I was in a group with 4 other Australians and we had the enormous privilege of having David for our 1 day Quito city tour as well as an excursion to the middle of the world (the equator)..David was a wonderful guide..so knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of his stunning country...he also ensured our efficient transfer from the airport to our hotel on our return from Galapagos and again next morning for our onward flight to Lima..the drivers your agency provided were also excellent thank you...10 out of 10..well done!!

5.00After a long trip from Perth, Western Australia we finally landed at Quito. A lovely city surrounded by mountains. Our organised guide was David a Gainza who picked our group of 12 up at the airport and transported us to the Sheraton Hotel. He spent the 40 minutes drive giving us some history and cultural information about Quito. David had a fount of information which he eagerly shared with us. He delivered it all with a lot of fun and laughter. He took us to a large variety of places with lots of tastings of the local food, culture and music. We had an excellent visit to the equatorial museum where we got to stand directly on earth's central line. I highly recommend David for his care, attention and fun delivery of all Quito has to offer.

5.00David our tour guide was excellent. He was so friendly and patient and made the whole day interesting and fun. Quito is so beautiful and we visited stunning churches, danced in masks, sampled delicious banana cake and had a wonderful chocolate tasting experience. We visited the Museum on the equator line and had some funny experiments and stood with one foot on the south and one on the north side of the equator. David took lots of photos of us all and sent them by whatsapp group. We said that was the best tour we had been on and he was the best tour guide we had ever had. A highly recommended experience

5.00A wonder start to the day with a visit to the Quito Basilica at the start of our walk. It was rather stunning, but did require many stairs to be climbed to get to the top vantage points. Well worth it though. This section of Quito is hilly and has some wonderful examples of the architecture of the colonial and republican times experienced in Ecuador. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and interesting. His passion and love for his home city was do generously shared. Thank you for a wonderful day David.

5.00What a great tour guide David was 26 August. The cable car ride was great and David knows so much about Quito. It was unique to visit David’s favourite bakery and try his favourite banana cake!
