What To Expect
Basilica del Voto Nacional
Entrance to the church complex is free Entrance to the main temple is 2 USD charge (not necessary at the tour, in case you want to enter to the main temple you can do it paying the ticket) we will learn about the tallest church at the whole Ecuadorian country learn its history and legend
Palacio del Antiguo Circulo Militar
we will learn about the history of this palace of the military forces which has a pretty interesting history and also see some luxurious furniture from the 20th century

5.00This 2-hour tour was a great introduction to the historical center of Quito. Highly recommend starting off with it to learn some foundational facts and then exploring on your own. I appreciated the cacao tasting - there was no pressure to buy (though I did later, from the same company). At the end the guide pointed me in the direction of a fresh and friendly lunch spot where I enjoyed vegetarian choclos. Tour is free so tip generously.
If you’re going to Quito, you should absolutely book this tour!

5.00We took a 3-hour walking tour of Old Town Quito with AYLLU Tours, and it was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Alexis, was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Quito’s history and culture. The tour covered many of the most important monuments and landmarks in the historic center, with great explanations of the architecture, churches, plazas, and history. It was informative without feeling overwhelming and moved at a comfortable pace. One of the highlights was the Ecuadorian chocolate tasting, which was a lovely extra and especially fun for our 3.5 year-old. We also had a fun, unexpected moment when we ran into a well-known “famous” Andean music group who were taking photos, and they kindly let me take a picture with them. This tour is very walkable but worth noting that strollers and wheelchairs are not recommended. The streets are cobblestone, uneven, and the area is quite hilly, which can make pushing a stroller challenging. Overall, this was a great way to explore Old Town Quito and learn about the city from a local perspective. I highly recommend AYLLU Tours if you are visiting Quito.

5.00Our tour with Alexis was wonderful! He shared so much of the Ecuadorean and Quiteño cultural heritage- history, religion, and local legends that we found most interesting. The tour was very engaging and the chocolate tasting was awesome; we learned so much while enjoying some lovely flavours. Thank you again Alexis for the wonderful tour including insider tips! We highly recommend this tour of Quito's old town to everyone.

5.00We had a fantastic time learning about the historical area of Quito with Alexis. The tour size was quite small which made it feel personal and tailored to our wants. The Cacoa tasting was fantastic too. I cannot recommend this tour enough!
