The Peguche Lagoon, located in the Miguel Egas Cabezas parish of Otavalo canton, Imbabura province, is a natural and cultural area of great importance for the Kichwa people of Otavalo. Surrounded by eucalyptus trees and trails, it is a sacred place where ancient rituals such as Inti Raymi are performed. The lagoon stands out for its scenic beauty, tranquil atmosphere and spiritual value. In addition, it is a tourist attraction that promotes contact with nature, cultural identity and community tourism in northern Ecuador.
