What To Expect

Rainbow Mountain Peru

We will pick you up at 7:00 in the morning after breakfast from your hotel in Cusco city from any location inside the city center and drive you for 3 hours to the trailhead. Following, we will set off on the 2-hour hike to the peak of Vinicunca Mountain (known as Rainbow Mountain). The trail is a gradual uphill with a steep incline in the last part before you reach the summit. Along the way, you will encounter hundreds of llamas and alpacas. At the peak of Rainbow Mountain, your tour guide will discuss the origin of the colorful hills, the Andes, and the significance of this mountain to the native people. After taking in the fantastic landscapes of the Peruvian Andes, which offers a breathtaking panorama in every direction, We will return to the trailhead, where will take our van to Cusipata town for one hour where our special lunch will be waiting for us. After lunch, we will board the van back to Cusco, Visiting Rumicolca and arriving around 5.30 pm.

On the way back to Cusco will make a short stop of 20 minutes at Rumicolca, Rumicolca is an Inca archaeological site that served as a strategic point along the Inca Road network, which was an extensive system of trails connecting various parts of the Inca Empire. often described as a gateway or a control point along the road.

The region of Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Pichu and Colorful Mountain is very beautiful. We really enjoyed the trip. We took beautiful photos. This region is worth visiting. The guides at Agência Mundo Inca are excellent, very attentive and helpful, from the first contact to the end of the trip. They are punctual. Everything they offered us they fulfilled. We just have to be grateful.
