Triangle Adventures is excited to announce in 2026 we have launched something new on our tours:
AI-powered digital video! This will allow stories to be told from the perspective of the actual historical figure, creating a wildly immersive experience like nothing else out there. See, hear and feel their personal story in their own voice... It's like stepping into the past.
What's a Triangle Adventures tour like? Ride through town and on the smooth NC Greenway trail with fun and interesting stops along the way. Expect to learn about local heroes, NASCAR origins, moonshining, native tribes, Neuse River, milling towns, play alcohol trivia, and lots more! Plus, authentic street tacos and fresh-squeezed margaritas are included!

Enjoy the outdoors, laugh and make memories! And don't worry about the pedaling, the e-bike does all the work for you!

What To Expect
Mountains to Sea Trail
You’ll meet your experienced guides, have a brief safety meeting, and do some quick orientation rides to make sure everyone feels comfortable on the bikes. Once we embark as a group, we will do a bit of scenic riding through Clayton, then stop at one of our favorite local Mexican Restaurants for lunch. Afterwards, we will enter the Mountains to Sea Trail, where we will have an exhilarating e- bike ride. During this time, your guide will have some interesting facts about local history and information about culinary facts, native culture, and more. We will eventually come full circle back to Deep River Brewery where you will have a beer waiting for you – courtesy of Triangle Adventures. There will also be several stops for photo ops and bathroom breaks.
Clayton

5.00So much fun. This 3-hour e-bike tour is a must-do, as it's the perfect mix of history, scenic riding, and amazing food and drinks. Dave and Marlo, the tour guides, were fantastic. You can tell how thoughtfully curated the experience is. The videos along the way really brought the local history to life and added a unique touch. The ride along the NC Greenway, Clayton, and the Falls Lake/Neuse River trail was beautiful. The taco stop was authentic and delicious, and ending with a handcrafted margarita at a prohibition-style speakeasy was such a fun and memorable finish. Great safety training upfront made the whole experience comfortable and easy. Overall, this tour was fun, engaging, and incredibly well done. Highly recommend! 🤩

5.00Marlo and Dave do a great job hosting the Tacos, History, and Margaritas tour. My wife and I had never ridden E-bikes before. They do a great job providing equipment familiarity and safety tips prior to getting started on the tour. The Aventon bikes they use are in great shape and well suited for newbies. This tour was a lot of fun and provides glimpses into the local history of Clayton and Johnston county. The stop for a taco lunch offers some authentic tacos and a nice break. After tacos, there is a scenic trip along the greenway which takes you to a neat bridge overlooking the Neuse River. The return trip back to downtown Clayton ends at a cool bar for the included margaritas. This was a great way to spend an afternoon taking a relaxing E-bike ride and exploring Clayton. Marlo and Dave do a great job making sure this is a fun and safe experience for everyone!

5.00Was in town for the weekend on business. Saw this tour and so glad I went!! It was so much fun riding those E-Bikes!!! Got to learn some history and see some historical Places in Clayton! The ride on the Mountain to Sea Coast trail was the best! Dave and Marlo are excellent tour guides!! The best tacos and Margaritas!

5.00I spent Labor Day on an E-bike tour in Clayton. It was a beautiful day for a ride that was hosted by two very friendly and knowledgeable guides. It included some historical facts that I found to be quite informative. The bikes were comfortable and well maintained and the scenery along the ride was calming. Overall, I found it to be an awesome time.

5.00First time trying e- biking. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had some history lessons, tacos , great talks and awesome margaritas at the end. The tour was very pleasant. I was by myself and I had a great time with the group and the owners. Dave one of the owners was very funny. Highly recommend, worth the money. I had a great time. I will definitely come back and do it again with my spouse. Thank you guys, Elena.

5.00This was such a fun trip and excursion. My wife surprised me and we had the best time. David and Marlo are wonderful and made the trip fun and filled with cool history facts. I had no idea Clayton was such a cool place. The tacos were amazing and very authentic place. The beer at the end was tasty and cool spot. We will definitely do it again. The e-bikes make it as easy or tough as you want to make it. At times I went totally electric and others I wanted some exercise so I switched off and pedaled.
