What To Expect
We visit one of the most exciting natural attraction of Hungary and hike through the exceptional Ram gorge during this half day trip. After picking you up in Budapest, we drive to the starting point of the hike in Dömös, which is only an hour drive from the capital. The vast majority of the trail is leading through shady forests with old beech and oak trees surrounding us. Uncountable stream crossings, ladders to climb on waterfalls are waiting for you the adventure seeker in the Ram gorge. You have to mind your steps while admiring the 20-30 meter tall volcanic rock formations, as your job is to walk through the obstacles arise on the trail. You don’t have to carry much water with you as a fresh water spring is responsible for your hydration. Be smart and carry a bottle with you that you can fill with this cold, clean and refreshing natural water and enjoy it throughout your hike. The hike is not difficult, manageable for everybody who is generally fit, but good balance and stability on uneven surface is needed to enjoy the walk in the gorge. There are two short but steep uphill sections. Total distance is 8 kms with 300 meters elevation gain.

5.00My daughter and I went on this hike together and had a wonderful day! Our guide, Guyri, was fantastic! He knew so much about the area we were hiking, was extremely helpful, and well prepared even bringing us snacks. Along the way, Guyri even took photos of us that he sent to me afterwards. It was really nice to get out of the city and into nature seeing woodpeckers and such. The scenery of the gorge is lovely and the hike wasn’t hard, it was long enough though to feel worthwhile and invigorating for the time spent. We would definitely do it again.

5.00We had a great time with Gyuri, the hike was beautiful and the kids loved the adventure of climbing up the gorge. Gyuri was very accommodating for our family and even brought snacks for the kids. I highly recommend getting outside of Budapest and trying out this experience.

5.00I went with my friend to the hike, Gyuri was so kind and informative, most importantly, everything was exactly like scheduled , the pickup, the trip to the start point, the hike itself, and the trip back to the hotel. The hike route was pretty good, easy and gave us some sense of challenge. Best
