Mahiro and Sakura ere so engaging and friendly for our ramen making experience. Highly recommended for both ramen lovers or those curious. Very family friendly! If you are visiting Kyoto come do this 1.5 hour experience and eat your own creation :)

What a fun hands on activity to do as a family. We sat at a station and were led step by step through the ramen making process. We made ramen from scratch using flour and water and then kneaded the dough. we then put the dough through a noodle making machine. We made our own broths with dashi and miso. My husband and daughter are vegetarians and they were extremely accommodating with tofu and veggie based broths. We then cooked the noodles and added it to the broth and the all consumed our homemade ramen! It was a fun interactive process. The sensei and his helpers were very friendly and attentive as well to make sure all was going right. We had tons of photo opportunities and it was a great family activity for sure!

I visited this place with my wife and our two children. Inside, there were lanterns and wallpaper featuring maiko (apprentice geisha), creating a space where you can truly feel the essence of Japan. We had so much fun making our own soup to suit our tastes and even making the noodles ourselves. Being able to experience draining the noodles (yugiri) was especially exciting and felt like a unique experience you can only have here. The taste was outstanding, and I highly recommend it to people from all over the world!

Fantastic experience! We made the ramen noodles from scratch, and prepared our own soups with a choice of broths, tare, and toppings. Akemi was our instructor and so patient and helpful especially with our kids (9 and 12). Would highly recommend!

Ramen cooking was surprisingly straightforward and made for a fun evening with dinner and activity all wrapped into one. Our group was fairly small, and the staff treated us with special attention because of it. Choosing what went into our dishes was certainly a great way to explore different combinations and flavors rarely seen even in Japanese ramen restaurants. Overall it was a great way to spend an evening in Kyoto with plenty of information along the way!
