What To Expect
Pueblo Magico de Huasca
In this town at the end of the mountain the bonanza of old times still resonates, when several estates were built that made the Count of Regla the richest man of his time. Now they are part of a stage with forests and ravines, where stone prisms and waterfalls and dams will steal your breath.
Prismas Basalticos
One of the first things we are going to visit are the Basaltic Prisms, formed thousands of years ago, a set of rocks that shine with sunlight. Its geometric structure approximately forty meters high is imposing. In this geological phenomenon, the waters of the San Antonio Dam form four waterfalls that play happily on the prisms.

5.00In Real del Monte, the guide pointed out some old mining tunnels and told us a bit about the workers who lived there years ago. The town has a quiet charm that makes you slow down. Later, the Basaltic Prisms were more impressive than I imagined,the rocks form perfect geometric shapes. I took so many photos because every corner had a different texture and color.

5.00The guide was friendly and told us short stories about the places, nothing too long. The town felt welcoming, and I enjoyed the old buildings and small shops. The Basaltic Prisms looked even better than photos. I liked that we had enough time to take pictures and enjoy the nature around us.

5.00Huasca de Ocampo (the very first declared Magic Town), the Prismas Basálticos & Real Del Monte are very beautiful places worth visiting. It was my second time visiting and the first for my husband: I wanted to go back to see it again. I personally prefer the Basaltic Prisms to the Giant Causeway… Our guide, Ulises from Travis Adventures, was very attentive, allowing us to take our own pace and explaining everything with great patience and dedication. He was great company. 200% recommended! He introduced us to the best places to eat on this tour: barbacoa in Huasca; quesadillas and our favorite drinks “cantaritos” at the Peña del Aire; and our own made Pastes at the Museo del Paste in Real Del Monte (Ulises managed this experience for us).

5.00Great tour! Our guide Mr Ulises Najera was very knowledgeable and accommodating. A comfortable trip with an added bonus of a beautiful canyon. We also made our own pastes!

5.00We had the most amazing time- this trip was even better than described. Ulises was fun and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable. We stopped in Huasca which looked like it was straight out of a hallmark movie. Then we went to the basaltic prisms which were even better than in the photos. After that we went to the canyon and even got to zip line across part of it. On Ulises suggestion we got quesadillas made by the local vendors and they were amazing, I’ll be dreaming of them for years. After that we stopped in Real de Monte which was also beautiful and we tried some Pastes. This is a don’t miss if you’ve got more than a few days in CDMX.

5.00Best tour we had in Mexico ! Private driver/guide, professional explanation on anything in Mexico -from land scraping , politics, social and overall knowledge and better understanding of Mexico. Amazing contribution to our tour and we were lucky to spend time on Sunday ! The outdoor small country side towns are buzzing with locals, bands and excellent atmosphere. Ulises our guide was the best !! Will recommend 110 percent !
