We were quite underwhelmed by this tour, which seems to have rave reviews from everyone else. But this is our honest experience. Firstly there was a misunderstanding on the part of the operator as to whether we had a current booking. I had to get Viator to email them to confirm it, but this was after many hours of them saying I needed to pay again and I didn't have a booking. This was the evening before the tour, quite stressful and very annoying. We had booked for 0930 but they told us it would be better at 12noon as someone else would be there. We could adjust our plans, so we did so. We were welcomed by the family and given tasty pakora, lassi and chai. Then off on the tractor for 25 minutes. The other 12 noon person did not appear. Then out of the blue at around 1pm a minibus of people arrived, they had the same greeting we did etc and then were off on a 1.5 hour tractor tour. At this point the main guy Tarsim went with them, (which we didn't realise at all) leaving us with no one speaking English. A meal was served which was nice. Then the wife came up and just said 'tour finished'. We never saw Tarsim again, we felt we were accessories to the bus load. Maybe another day would have been different but it wasn't what I had expected from the fabulous reviews. We were hanging around quite a bit and felt that our tractor tour was probably cut short so that we could be back for the arrival of the bus. There was no milking a cow or other things mentioned that visitors could take part in, no offer of henna painting etc. No one around to answer our questions about the cultural farming life after our initial tractor tour. Family and all people were pleasant but as I say, underwhelming at best.

What an experience! Wow. I've been to India many times and this was by far one of the best experiences. It was lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and really get to spend time in what I feel is very traditional and authentic India. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone, and the guy and his family who run it are so lovely. Couldn't do enough for you. 100% worth every single penny!

Choose this tour; you won’t be disappointed. The family was welcoming, warm and loving. I came as a guest but left feeling like a cousin. The village is in a farming community rich in history and tradition. We had snacks, rode the tractor to see the farm land. Met the farm land owner, saw beautiful nature and amazing views. A turban was tied on my head; I looked strong and smart. Fresh dinner was unlike any paying establishment. Home cooked meal shared with host. A break from the loud noises and pollution of the city reminded me that a “simple” life is more rich than I could have ever imagined. Grandfather was one of my favorites. He laughed and smiled and accepted me. I’m truly blessed to have had this experience. I left with an overwhelming sense of joy. I would recommend to everyone. This is about a 30 drive from Amritsar. I wish there was a way to include a car to the house as part of the package or as an add on. I will fondly remember the family for all of my days. Please ask questions and be generous. I received so much more than I gave.
