Great tour! Really a once in a lifetime experience. Really accessible. Fun hosts with good factual and folklore info. I liked that there were a few stops on the glacier with the opportunity for great views and to warm up on the vehicle in between.

We drove onto a glacier, walked around, sledded down a slope, had delicious hot chocolate! Sleipnir’s tour is first rate. Bjarmi was our excellent guide - knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Susanna was our captain/driver and expertly traversed the crevasses & craters to safely carry us onto Lanjökull. I highly recommend this tour. How often is one likely to walk on the surface of a glacier?

Absolutely amazing experience visiting Langjökull glaciar on the Sleipnir monster truck! Our guide and driver - Karen and Zuzanna - were friendly, informative and helpful and made the experience really interesting and lots of fun! Lots of local knowledge and stories about the geography, history and mythology of the region, and things to look out for on the glacier itself. And visiting the glacier was just magical! We were lucky enough to have glorious sunny weather with really good visibility so the views were amazing. Being able to walk about on the glacier was brilliant, and crampons were provided to help with grip on the ice. Drinking hot chocolate, in the sun and the COLD wind, atop a glacier was an experience I will never forget. The truck itself is incredible - it's HUGE and great fun (and comfy!) to ride in, and Zuzanna was a very talented driver, manouevering us between moulins and over crevasses to cross the glacier surface. Absolutely brilliant trip and a must-do experience if visiting Iceland!

We were picked up in a modified mini bus which was perfect for the terrain we would be in. Mr B was a great guy, very chilled, obviously very experienced driver and shared lots of knowledge. We had plenty of stops for breaks. We took snacks but you stop at service stations which sell food. The itinerary itself took in the top golden circle attractions, which have to be seen to be believed! In the afternoon we boarded a massive truck with a small group and went up to the glacier. I cannot express how amazing this experiences was! Going out on a glacier with no one around, the scenery is like another world. They offer self drive ski mobile tours but I much prefer someone else driving onto the ice. We got crampons from Silke, our guide and she took us through some of the wonders of the glacier. We then got in the truck and went further. The driver Kjartan was amazing. We then had the opportunity to go sledding, which me and my husband loved! Play golf and then had hot chocolate and twisted doughnuts. Then back to our bus. This tour is so special, I imagine only a very small percentage of people get to go on a glacier, nevermind having fun and learning lots. I feel very lucky and grateful to Sleipnir tours.

I can't believe this tour wasn't on my itinerary initially, but after a friend's glowing recommendation and seeing their sign at Gullfoss, I joined on a whim. Best decision of my trip, blew me away (even more than the arctic winds)! Riding on the eight-wheeled monster truck "Sleipnir" was absolutely incredible. Sitting in those super comfy chairs, the way the truck seemed to glide over any surface - that's as smooth a ride as you can get. On a glacier at that! Standing on top of Langjökull, the second largest glacier in Iceland, was a surreal experience. Surrounded by a stunning landscape, dirt cones, and deep crevices (some of which were filled with glacier water you could drink from!). The whole team took incredibly good care of us. Gatis, the driver, navigated gravel and ice expertly, no matter the number of wheels. Jökull was a visiting guide, who gave us interesting insight into glaciers. And last but not least Katrin, our funny and wholesome, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely kind and caring glacier guide, who entertained, informed, and taught us Icelandic and fed us glacier facts throughout the whole journey. They provided fun activities, likw relieving some stress with an ice axe, sledding down the glacier, or trying ourselves at golfing to win an Icelandic doughnut. This tour was a complete surprise, which I won't ever forget - it's a must-do when visiting this beautiful country! Life in Iceland comes at you fast and slow. Sometimes you shouldn't plan and just go. This is an adventure like no other, an absolutely unique experience - and you shouldn't allow yourself to miss it.

This trip was amazing. Easy pick up. And lots of space to park, shop, cafe, toilets. Fun and informative guide (Cat) kept us informed and kept it casual. The Slepinir bus/truck is just mental. Great view point and comfortable. Actually standing on a glacier was totally unique. And sledding, golfing and having a hot drink at the top very good! Highly recommended.

Our family of four (two adults and two teens) had an absolutely incredible experience with Sleipnir Glacier trip. From the moment we boarded the massive monster truck, we knew we were in for something special. The vehicle itself was a marvel—warm, spacious, and surprisingly smooth over the rugged terrain. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about Iceland’s glaciers and geology throughout the journey. The highlight was definitely exploring the Langjökull glacier—truly a surreal and magical experience. Traveling on the ice with this huge vehicle was nuts! We appreciated the thoughtful touches like hot chocolate and plenty of time to take photos and soak in the scenery and even go sledding!. Highly recommended—this was one of the highlights of our Iceland trip and a memory we’ll remember.
