The Rembrandt House Museum is an absolute must-visit for art lovers and history enthusiasts alike. Stepping inside feels like travelling back in time; the house has been beautifully restored, offering a vivid glimpse into how Rembrandt lived and worked. The rooms are filled with fascinating details, from his art studio to his personal collection of objects and etchings. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, and the audio guide provides rich insights into both his art and everyday life. I especially loved watching the live demonstrations of traditional etching and paint-making techniques; it really brought his creative process to life. A truly inspiring and educational experience that deepens your appreciation for one of the greatest artists in history. Highly recommended!

Excellent experience. The audio tour is worth your attention, it gives a meaningful overview of Rembrandt's life in each room, plus optional additional information on individual items in each place. The kids and I agreed the audio tour brings the space to life and taught us a lot about Rembrandt the man. (We knew almost nothing!). Fascinating, well worth the time and money. We were there just over an hour.

Absolutely worth doing. A look into the life of ups and downs and legacy. Audio narration was very good. The security guard offered me a folding chair (I use a cane to walk) which was great fully accepted. I felt like a welcomed, cared for guest. The exhibits are in immaculate condition, beautifully displayed. The making of oil paint demonstration was perfection, taking one back in time. The gift shop was impossible to resist; wide range of prices even if you are on a budget. Note: If you cannot climb stairs at all this is not for you. The same with the Anne Frank House.

Highly reccommend this house museum, especially BEFORE going to the Rijksmuseum and seeing the Rembrandt and other Dutch masters. You get to tour rembrandts house, hear all about his life and times, and see how he created his paints, etchings and paintings. Enjoyable and helps understand Amsterdam as you walk around and then view Dutch masters.

Fantastic details and coverage of Rembrandt’s art and life. Only issue was Audio translation devices are slow to load so plan more time than you expect to spend there.

We learned a tremendous amount about Rembrandt’s early life in Amsterdam, his short lived (unfortunately) marriage to Saskia, and his trying times financially negotiating 17th century Dutch life.

Fascinating tour ( with audio guide included in price) following the story of one of the most famous painters of his time. His sketching and engravings are exquisite. Beware this is a typical Dutch city house set over several floors with narrow winding stairs but well worth the effort if you are able.
