This guided adventure invites you to feel the harmony where the warm waters of the bay meet the lush jungle. As you hike beneath the shaded canopy, you’ll be surrounded by the sounds of nature and the cool embrace of the sea, making the journey as refreshing as the destination. The scenic 30‑minute bus ride along the bay sets the tone, filling you with anticipation as stunning coastal views unfold before your eyes.

Hiking, you’ll pause at some of the bay’s most beautiful beaches—Playa Colomitas, Playa Caballo, and Playa Madagascar—where swimming in crystal waters or simply resting on the sand will leave you feeling rejuvenated. The adventure culminates at Playa Las Animas, where you’ll have 2–3 hours to savor a leisurely lunch, soak up the sun, and enjoy the vibrant beach atmosphere. Whether you choose to return by boat or extend your hike back to Boca, you’ll leave with a sense of accomplishment, relaxation, and a deeper connection to Puerto Vallarta’s natural treasures.

All water, food and beverages at lunch are excluded. Additionally the bus faire 10 pesos each way are not included. And the boat back to Boca from Las Animas in not included - about 250 pesos.

Mismaloya was once a sleeping fishing village and then Hollywood came to film the classic picture "Night of the Iguna." We will catch a glimpse of the bay and larger hotels on the bluff and beach as we pass through on the main road.

This was a great hike- Victor was so friendly and helpful- the perfect guide. The trail from Boca to Las Animas had challenging moments (I'm 57!) and definitely felt like a good workout. It was worth it for the views and ending at Las Animas for a great lunch and a margarita was a welcome reward. A wonderful way to see non-touristy parts of PV but only 30 min away.
Not a walk in the park but a great walk none the less.

This is a great hike and a great way to see a piece of Mexico's west coast. Be advised that the hike is challenging. Some areas are steep and the surface of the trail is often littered with rocks, trip hazards, and washed out surfaces. If you have ever done the west coast trail on Vancouver Island you would be familiar with what this trail is like. It's short, under 5 km one way and the beaches are spectacular. The restaurants at Playa Las Animas had delicious food. I walked this in a pair of water shoes that have a fairly robust soul. Gear I took along, was a towel, bug spray and water. Take a few extra pesos for 70 peso coconut drink at a stand on Playa Caballo. Have fun and say hi to Roco for me.

This hike has spectacular views of the local hiden quite beaches. The color blue and green clear water is impressive. I saw a variety of birds, it’s a real hike for the ones who love hiking! Abraham, the guide is biologist, knows everything about nature and wild animals and insect. He is very interesting and adapts to your level. I loved this incredible hike at Boca!

I had an incredible hike at Boca the Tomatlan visiting 4 magnificent beaches. I went alone and had my private guide Abraham, a passionated botanical that shared everything he knew about nature. We saw a lot of birds. If you love nature, hiking and want to experience a local tour not too touristic and crowded, I recommend this day tour! The guide Abraham adapts to your level, is positive and so sociable. I was impressed by that place!

We went on the walking tour of the beaches with Daniel. What an amazing adventure for two 60 plus. Daniel was great and so attentive to our pace and likes. We would highly recommend this day trip!

We had a wonderful time. Daniel was the perfect guide. He was very supportive and patient. We are two elderly folk and Daniel's hand was outstretched to help us countless times. He coordinated, bus, boat taxi, refreshment stops, and meals. He catered to all our needs graciously. His athletic ability to walk backwards while giving support down steep inclines was admirable. Thank you Daniel!!

This has been the most memorable experience of my visit to Mexico this year. Daniel, our guide, was a joy to be with. His assistance in navigating the difficult paths, over and up rocks and down sandy inclines to the most pristine beaches in the area was invaluable. I highly recommend Daniel as a guide and his company. Their attentive customer service was impeccable in planning for our outing.

Such a great day trip! And Daniel was an amazing tour guide! Since I was the only person who singed for the trip that day, he really took the time to individualize the experience to what I was interested in doing and seeing. The views were stunning and the hike itself was just so beautiful. Most of it being right along the coastline so there were ocean views for a majority of the trip. Highly recommend both this experience and Daniel as a tour guide!

What a great experience! As my first time in PV and the surrounding areas, hiking along the ocean and through the jungle capturing some amazing pictures was something to remember. Daniel and Jimmy were great tour guides and I would definitely do another tour with them.
