Absolutely the best thing I decided to do for my short stay in Bogota. My rent a friend/guide was Juani and she was phenomenal! I learned so much about Colombia, the city of Bogota, the culture of the city and the culture of the country and its people, etc. I love how my experience was not set in stone, it felt natural and almost go with the flow. 100% the market experience was my absolute favorite thing. I got to try so many new fruits I have never even heard of, chirimoya for life! the best fruit I have ever experienced. Juani took me around to look at murals, walk the streets, we both even tried a new cafe that was absolutely wonderful. "Fragmentos: Espacio de Arte y Memoria," blew me away and Juani went into the history of the space and installation, it was marvelous and I felt enriched by the whole experience. Honestly whenever I come back to Bogota I would absolutely book a Zebra tour again, they offer so many experiences that I want to try them all.

Excellent option to get to know Bogota, in a more authentic and enjoyable way. Aleja was my local friend, with a lot of historical, cultural and gastronomic knowledge of the city. We toured the Chapinero neighborhood, the G-zone and Usaquen market. It was a great experience!!!

The tour I went on was called “Rent a Local Friend” and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Juanita, my tour guide, is a Bogota native and was able to provide insights into recent and past social and political events. Those insights made my experiences more meaningful as we toured the old historical parts of the city, including the symbolic murals on the walls. She was able to answer any question I had and would amplify her response to include additional information that was relevant to my inquiry. It was a very satisfying experience.

I had the best time ever! I was so lucky to get Juani as my rent a friend. She took me all over and introduced me to the sights and tastes of beautiful Bogota. I learned so much about the history and everything was fun. She made sure I was safe and doing everything i wanted to do. I recommend to everybody to try this company if you travel to Bogota! I wish I could give more than 5 stars

This experience was excellent and exactly what I was looking for! I wish this service existed in every city that I travel to! From the beginning, Caro helped me plan my perfect itinerary over WhatsApp. I booked a 6 hour WITH car tour. Caro helped me narrow down what I was interested in, and perhaps more importantly what I was NOT interested in, and after about a week sent me a personalized schedule. When I ended up adding another person to my tour, they accommodated that without issue. And when my friend and I decided we wanted to switch a couple things around in the schedule, that was handled easily, as well! Caro was great at explaining why particular activities or spots were chosen, and even offered alternatives. We were met at our hotel by our friendly guide Felipe. He walked with us to a car that had a hired driver. On my tour, we went to Paloquemao market to try a dozen different fruits I'd never even heard of before, arepas, empanadas, 6 different juices, and lechona. Everything was delicious, and I highly recommend visiting this place, though you need to come hungry! We went to the Gold Museum next, and Felipe was great at guiding us through the museum, explaining the exhibits and highlighting the important pieces along the way. We next went to Chorro de Quevedo, and tried chicha in a little cafe because my friend wanted me to try it. We also stopped at another delicious cafe for some milhoja, which is my friend's favorite dessert. We visited Fragmentos (an art gallery commemorating the peace agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC guerillas), where Felipe explained the history of several conflicts in Colombia's history, then led us through some of the art exhibits which were very moving. Our tour ended near Bolivar Square. Normally, you would get dropped back off at your hotel, but due to how many activities we wanted to squeeze in, we communicated to both Caro and Felipe that we were ok being left away from the hotel if it meant we got to do all the other things we wanted to do. All in all, this was a perfect way to spend a day in Bogota! The planning leading up to it made it perfectly tailored to me and my friend, and the day of was seamless! Feel free to chat with the organizers like Caro as much as you want to get everything planned out perfectly, as well as to answer any questions or worries you have. For example, they helped me figure out how much cash I should have on hand in order to pay for the multitude of activities that we did. In general, I would recommend this highly. I would also recommend booking well in advance, so that way there is plenty of time for Zebra Fisgona to communicate with you to chat back and forth about your perfect itinerary. Besides that, someone like Caro would be much better able than me to answer any questions you may have!

I had the fortune to have Aleja guide me around Bogotá for two full days through Zebra Fisgona’s Rent-a-Friend program. I had an amazing time and can’t rate them highly enough. Before traveling, I had sent them some info about my likes, things I wanted to see, and my general interests. Aleja set up the days perfectly while still allowing some flexibility if I wanted to change something up. Visiting markets, Paloquemao and La Perseverancia, with her was incredible as she seemed to know everyone. She knew exactly where to get the best food and what was good to try. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Bogotá and Colombia. I had an absolute blast playing Tejo as well. She even took me to a special place for beer as I’m a craft beer geek and to the special Fragmentos memorial (which you should be sure to visit - I don’t know how an empty room can be so powerful). She really enabled me to do and see everything I wanted to efficiently and with so much knowledge and fun. I wouldn’t have been able to see nearly what I did on my own. If you ever get the chance to visit Bogotá, jump at the chance and jump at the chance to use Zebra Fisgona as your guide.

I am still thinking about how much fun I had with Zebra Fisgona while visiting Bogota. I first found out about them through their wonderfully thoughtful, entertaining, and informative YouTube videos. When I saw they had a Rent a Friend option, it was an easy decision to take advantage. I opted for two truly amazing tours with the Zebra Fisgona team: One tour exploring Bogota (including a fruit tour) then another longer tour exploring Guatavita Lake, the Salt Cathedral, followed by a dinner at world famous restaurant Andres. The team was even kinder, more authentic, and more hilarious in person. These guys actually get recognized on the streets by other tourists and visitors, such is the popularity of their videos. Do yourself a favor and make it a point to reach out to Zebra Fisgona when you are traveling to Colombia!

This is by far the best way to see Bogota with and through the eyes of a local, who knows the information and loves where they are from. Fully customizable, and over the top dedicated to satisfaction. My experience with Aleja was one that made me sad I needed to leave the country as I would stayed to continue to tour over and over again. Her quick wit and compassion for local humans and animals in the community made me feel right at home. During my stay, I had great communication prior to arriving ease of connection once in country and such a joyful time on my tour . Additionally, my guide Aleja was flexible and able to adjust to accommodate my needs! I absolutely loved Montserrat, la Candelaria art, and the food market, not to mention the delicious food and café ! Rent a friend is the only way to go!!!

Juan was the perfect guide. We let them know our interests, and they put together the perfect agenda. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and we felt safe. We went to lunch afterwards, and he told us what to order for traditional food. Gracias a Juan.
