Nothing to achieve. Just rest, and let the sound guide you inward. Using a rare Japanese instrument, each tone gently resonates through your body, creating a deeply immersive meditative state. The sound is subtle yet powerful—designed not to stimulate, but to quiet the mind. Inspired by the Japanese concept of ma—the beauty of silence and space—this session is not just about relaxation. It is a moment to reset your senses and reconnect with yourself. Especially for travelers, this experience offers a unique kind of rest. Beyond physical fatigue, it helps release the mental noise that builds up during a journey. The session lasts 60 minutes. You will simply lie down and receive the sound in a calm, uninterrupted environment. After the session, you will also have the opportunity to gently interact with the instruments yourself. This is not a performance. It is a quiet, personal experience—one that often becomes a memorable, unexpected highlight of a trip to Kyoto.

5.00It was a beautiful experience. Our guide met us at the local family mart so we wouldn’t get lost. You lay on a heated mat, with an eye mask and blanket. He starts by playing next to you. Then he places the bowl on you so you feel the vibrations! You might just fall asleep. He will take a couple pictures and send them to you as a souvenir. It was a truly one of a kind experience! Definitely recommend!

5.00I’ve enjoyed this activity twice now and it is easily the most unique and memorable experience our family has had in Kyoto. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and very personal. We were fascinated by the sound bath technique. It was incredible to learn how different sound waves impact the body; the host has a remarkable ability to identify "problem areas" just by the way your body resounds to and absorbs the sound. It is deeply relaxing and scientifically fascinating at the same time. If you are looking for something unique and restorative beyond the usual overcrowded tourist sites, do not miss this!

5.00Junichiro provides an amazing sound bath experience! He’s very talented and professional. He was very good at keeping me up to date about our upcoming session and had booked a lovely traditional Japanese room for us overlooking a botanical garden. The location really added to the experience. The sound bath was the best one I’ve ever experienced before. It was very relaxing. After the sound bath junichiro showed me how the bowls work which was very interesting and fun. As a solo female traveller I am always vary about my safety when booking private activities such as this, but junichiro made me feel completely at ease and safe during our session. I highly recommend booking a session with him if you’re in Kyoto!

5.00This was amazing. I'd never done a sound bath before and didn't know what to expect. All I knew was it was supposed to be calming. However, when it was over, not only was I calm, but I was clear-headed and alert, too! Junchiro was so nice and explained everything so well.

5.00Junichiro is so talented! Had an amazing sound bath with instruments only found in Japan. I have done a few sound baths in the US, but none like this. He actually placed the bowls on my body for parts of the sound bath so I could feel the vibration & energy flowing. Afterwards, we drank tea and he taught me to play the instruments. Such an incredible, one-of-a-kind experience that I hope others will choose to enjoy! Oh and Junichiro just started learning English a year and a half ago, but his English is incredible! 10 out of 10 recommend. Wish I could go again before I leave Japan!

5.00This was my first time ever doing a sound bowl session, I’ve only heard about this. So, I was curious how it can help me with stress and anxiety - I must say it made me feel grounded and have peace of mind. Junichiro was super friendly and explained the process and how it works. His bowls/instruments were so so intricate and seeing how it works at the end of our session, and being able to play myself, was super cool! If you have some time and want to relax on your Kyoto trip, I highly recommend trying a session!
