My wife and I went booked the "Premier" level for this experience which advertises that you will have first on and first off access throughout the experience. The private dinner and front seats for the show were nice; the show was well put on; but the organization for lining up, accessing lines meant for "premier" gold wrist band customers was a joke! Poorly organized access to the boat departing for the event and essentially a free-for-all on the way back - there were NO special lines or privileges for "premier/gold wrist band" customers - just pushed together with everyone else who paid a fraction of the price! I expect better from Vallarta Adventures as they are typically a very trusted company.

this was a nice boat ride getting there with friendly staff. The island is amazing and so beautiful. The show was top notch hard to even explain the athleticism of all parts of the show. You simply have to see for yourself The bolt trip back was amazing and so much fun.

I’m generally an easy person to please, and having traveled extensively and seen many extraordinary shows, I feel a 3 out of 5 rating is a fair and accurate reflection of this experience. While the setting is magical, the "VIP" value and show quality left something to be desired. The Arrival & The "Sell" The experience started with the typical tourist traps. We were immediately pressured for photos at the terminal, which we declined, only to be funneled toward staff who tried to pivot a "where are you from?" conversation into a timeshare pitch. It felt a bit predatory right out of the gate. The Ferry & Sunset Cruise The ferry ride over was a highlight (5/5). It was a lovely cruise across the bay at sunset. The staff was incredibly nice, though the drinks (margaritas and punch) felt quite watered down (3/5). Note: We were provided life jackets for the trip over, but curiously, none were offered for the return trip. The Venue & VIP Experience The island itself is breathtaking (5/5). Seeing the entire venue lit up by candlelight is truly exciting and visually stunning. Sadly, your approached non stop to have your pictures taken as you walk toward the theatre. Our VIP experience (which cost roughly $600 CAD (extra $100 dollars above ticket price for port tax and boarding pass) was disappointing. We were seated in the very front row on the far right. Because of the angle, we couldn't see the full production—we spent the night looking at the side of the performers. The Show: "Alma" As someone who has seen Cirque du Soleil many times, this felt like a second-rate production. The performers are clearly talented, but the show lacked a cohesive storyline. It felt like a series of disconnected performances; as another reviewer noted, there was nothing to tie it together. The comedian who kept popping up felt out of place, and the bird puppets didn't add much. It was "all over the map." Dining Because we took the 6:30 PM slot, we didn't realize we wouldn't eat until after the show, at 9:30 PM. For those of us who don't usually eat that late, it upsets the stomach, so we ate very little. The Food (4/5): The quality was good, but it was so dark we could hardly see what we were eating. The Service: We were seated in the "Orange" section despite our VIP status because the other areas were full. Our waitress brought one glass of wine (no other service) and then disappeared until it was time to ask for a tip. Verdict: If you go, buy the cheaper ticket. VIP not worth it. Only advantage you get on and off the ferry first. If you're debating between spending $600 on this VIP experience or renting a private boat or seeing an actual Circus de Soleil show, do that instead. You'll likely get more value for your money.

Just not our cup of tea. Organized: sort of confusing - Price: expensive for what was delivered. Shop around and understand there is a administration fee and Port fee that is not communicated clearly and sent after the booking - Show: good like a Circus Soleil - Food: fair - Resort: beautiful but not easily accessible for people with mobility issues - Bathrooms: Clean but hard to find - Boat entertainment: music was upbeat - Crew entertainment: not good and hard to sit there and watch - Crew: attentive - Drinks: lots of rump punch, margaritas, and beer are available. Do not get the wine at the resort - Boat: Ferry boat - Safety: lifejackets going out halfway. No lifejackets on return voyage.

It's very crowded, I wasn't prepared for the amount of people at all. The buffet was good and the show was very special. The boat crew was exceptional.

This was a phenomenal excursion. Highly recommended, very much like Cirque du Soleil and the food was top-notch. The only recommendation I have is the boat transfer from the mainland to the show. There needs to be a spot that doesn’t have as much loud music. Maybe on the upper deck on the way back.
