Boat rental plus its driver and assistant is not included in the tour price. Therefore, a fee of 25 Euros/person will be required locally. If there is only one participant the fee will be 50 Euros.
Travelers who want to have specific drinks should purchase them in advance as lunch will take place in a remote area.
In the event of bad weather, we preserve the right to cancel or postpone this experience at short notice. In that case, you will have an alternative date or a full refund.

What To Expect
Spend a day on the water immersing yourself in the beautiful natural world of Cape Verde. After pickup from your hotel, you will depart for the west of the island. On the way, take photo stops at the lovely town of Assomada, before arriving at the small bay of Ribeira da Barca Village. First, enjoy a 30-minute trip on board a traditional fishing boat and take stunning photos of the crust formed by the volcanic eruption during the formation of the island. Arrive at Pilon de Achada Leite and admire one of the Cape's seven Wonders, the spectacular rare rocks surrounded by small crabs. Next, head to Àguas Belas (which means "beautiful waters") and if the sea is not too rough, go swimming and snorkeling inside its caves. Get to know the local marine life while your staff prepares a delicious barbecue on the beach. Relax on the black-sand beach as you enjoy your meal. After lunch, head back to Ribeira da Barca and conclude your tour with drop-off at your hotel.

5.00Always accompanied by our guide Sery we traveled today in the heart of the Ribera valley, from Barca to a refreshing waterfall where we rained during this walk, observe the flora and fauna, local, baobab, monkey and trees, fruit trees. 4.00Fun day and great bbq at the beach. We were picked up at the hotel in Praia at the agreed time by friendly staff. It was about 1hr. 20 mins drive to Ribeira da Barca, from where the boat departs. The boat ride was easy and the scenery really beautiful. Landscape and rock formations are quite impressive. Unfortunately we could not swim or snorkel in the cave due to seasonal seaweed which was not anticipated. We continued to the beach where we dedicate snorkel and were able to see plenty of marine life despite some seaweed around, while our guides prepared BBQ. The food was amazing and plentiful. Altogether a good, fun experience! Negative: it is quite a drive, and transportation takes a large part of the day. Price is slightly high considering the actual activity, but we still believe it was worth it Positive: good communication, timely pick up, pleasant and friendly guide & staff, nice beach spot (incl. possible snorkeling), great views, amazing fish BBQ).

5.00We celebrated our honeymoon in Praia, Cape Verde and did not expect anything like we have. We started our trip with Alex and the taxi driver, Zema. Both very sweet guys and we only took a small car since it was just a private tour for me and my wife. Alex spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable able to tell us everything we needed to know about the island in Santiago, Praia. 5.00Amazing experience. Our guides made us feel safe and welcome like family. They did their best to translate the multiple languages in our group. My little one had a great time snorkeling and in the caves. The picnic was beautiful and delicious plus you can't beat the views around Santiago. The day was stress free and fun my little one had an amazing time he felt safe swimming around and seeing all of the fish. Water shoes and reef safe spf are a must!
