This scenario unites iconic landscapes and deep memories: we start with Christ the Redeemer, where the presence of Our Lady Aparecida - a symbol of black faith in Brazil - welcomes visitors. We will visit Santa Teresa, an artistic and bohemian neighborhood that keeps ateliers, stories and unique views, such as the Selarón Staircase, the scene of Snoop Dogg’s “Beautiful” clip and Pharrell, a vibrant landmark of world black music.

The tour includes an African lunch with a fixed menu, bringing to the table spices, history and affection of African-Brazilian cuisine full of ancestry.

The experience deepens into Little Africa, an essential territory to understand the formation of Afro-Brazilian culture, the resistance and strength of the diaspora in the country, where from black identities and narratives we offer a sensory and transformative immersion for those seeking a true connection with local culture, history and belonging through Afrotourism.

    We booked the full day tour and Val Vargas was our guide. He’s friendly and very knowledgeable about Blacks in the Diaspora. Every stop came with a history lesson and some laughs. The individual experience catered to you is the best way to go!

    The Etnias agency was the best choice for our trip to Rio de Janeiro. Emily is super professional and was very careful with us all the time. We not only know the best landscapes so Rio, but the history of each place visited. That made all the difference in our experience. The Etnias agency and their team were amazing.

    Our experience was phenomenal! From the initial conversations with Emily and Bruna, to define the script for the day, to the tour itself, which was guided by Bruna, with the support of Jean (driver). A lot of information, with a lot of sympathy! We walked through Little Africa, had lunch in Santa Teresa and closed at Paço Imperial and Plaza XV. It was me, my mother, 75 years old, and my son, 8. And we all left super satisfied. My son already told me that when we return to Rio he wants to walk with Bruna and Jean again!! And you also had a photo session with Emily and Bruna, to close. Super, super recommended. Congratulations to the Etnias team. Keep going!!
