The Hāna Highway is a 64.4-mile long stretch of spectacular views of rainforest, waterfalls, beaches and coastline. On the east after Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kīpahulu on the Piilani Highway. Although Hāna is only about 52 miles from Kahului, it takes about 2.5 hours to drive when no stops are made as the highway is very winding and narrow and passes over 59 bridges, 46 of which are only one lane wide. There are approximately 620 curves along Route 360 from just east of Kahului to Hāna, virtually all of it through lush, tropical rainforest. Many of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910 and all but one are still in use. This full-day trip to the Hana coast has the best scenic drive along the shorelines of Maui.

5.0Tom was a fantastic driver , guide, and entertainer. Saw all of the sites and learned a great deal. Black sand beach body surfing was amazing and the blow hole was booming. Do yourself a favour and don’t drive it yourself as it’s too hard to keep your eyes on the road!

5.0This tour is absolutely the best way to experience the road to Hana. Our tour guide Valerie, the only native tour guide with this company, was absolutely amazing and provided us with so much history of the land. She knew all the special stops to make and even provided us with some language lessons.

3.0The scenery along the way wasn’t all that great since trees and mountains blocked the view most of the time. Some attractions were barely pointed out, and the guide didn’t even plan to stop at them, even though the website said they were “must-visit” spots. There were also too many shopping stops, which ate up time that could’ve been spent enjoying the views. If you can, it’s better to drive yourself so you’ll have plenty of time to take in the scenery.

5.0This was a great tour and I am glad we chose this one. Our driver and tour guide - Christy, was lovely, engaging and quite knowledgeable about the local sites and folklore. She was kind and thoughtful and represented the true maui culture. We had enough time for all the noted sites and scenic points. The van was clean, comfortable and air conditioned which made the entire experience very pleasant. I’ve always had great experience with viator tours and this was no exception. Thank you.
