  Such a fun day. We didn't expect to be so close to all of the amazing animals at the sanctuary. Worth a visit. After the sanctuary we went on the drift snorkel. With only 6 of us on the boat it felt so private compared with some of the other snorkelling trips we’ve done. Definitely recommend.

  This was NOT a good experience and not worth the money. Drivers were pleasant, and monkey/sloth sanctuary was good. However, the operators for the snorkel excursion were just glorified drivers. They didn’t talk to us, didn’t explain anything about the island or the coral reef, no history or explanation at all. Luckily we had snorkeled before, but for those who hadn’t, they gave no instructions or safety information at all, just said “stay with your guide” and handed out gear. When we got to the snorkel location, we were only allowed to stay in the water less than 30 minutes and didn’t see anything very interesting at all. When it was time to go, we thought they were surely taking us to another location, but they said, “No, you’re done.” It was a total waste of money. We have been happy with all of our many tours booked on Tripadvosor, but this one should not be promoted. It’s really bad.

  It was our first time in Roatan in a cruise and we really wanted to see the sloths so we booked the sanctuary plus drift snorkel. Both were EXCELLENT! Our driver and guide, Kayle was awesome! She made us feel very safe and comfortable plus answered all of our questions about the island. The guys and both the sanctuary and the snorkeling were great and made both experiences really fun.   The animal sanctuary was great, but I wish instead of the tour we had taken a taxi from our port (we came on a cruise ship), as the sanctuary was close, but transport ended up taking so long due to waiting for the driver, other people, etc... The snorkeling was not great - the sea was choppy (you snorkel in open waters off a boat), and there were a lot of jellyfish - which didn't stop the tourguides from still getting people in the water. Overall, imo getting a tour was not worth it - just get a taxi.

  This was an outstanding excursion. Meeting with ROA just outside the port was quick and ease. We were immediately assigned our driver and were on our way to the Monkey and Sloth tour. The facility and guide were outstanding. Our driver was waiting to take us to the drift snorkel portion, just a short drive away, immediately after the monkeys. As soon as we arrived at the dock, we were outfitted and on our way for snorkeling. An extremely knowledgeable guild (Joseph) was with us for the entire time we were in the water (about an hour). He pointed out points of interest and various species of marine life throughout the tour. Overall, everything was efficient, friendly, and absolutely worth the price. I would highly recommend this tour.

  Our driver, Kisha, was phenomenal! She explained the history and culture of the island. This was an added bonus for us! We got to know more about Roatan while being transported to the activities rather than it being a silent drive. The Sloth & Monkey experience was so much fun. Being able to interact with the monkeys brought my wife so much joy. The drift snorkeling experience was astounding. Our guide pointed out various fish throughout the hour. He’d check in frequently to ensure we were doing alright since we’re not experienced swimmers. Even the boat crew that transported us to and from the beach were so kind. Every person we met with ROA was so kind and made sure our experience was fantastic. The team ensured we got to do everything we wanted and made sure we were back to our port when it suited us best. Honestly cannot recommend this company and excursion enough! Book with them, you won’t regret it!

  This was an secondary add -on stop of our snorkeling tour. The snorkeling tour was our primary interest and focus. After all was said and done, the sloth and monkey refuge may have been the highlight of the cruise! The sloths were prehistoric looking and cool to watch and feed. The monkey's...what fun being with them in their enclosure. They run/race from person to person, usually via head or shoulders. We could not stop laughing! Thus place is well run, worthwhile and a must see!

  What a fantastic snorkelling experience!! The guides are super friendly and fun. You’re guided through some beautiful coral reefs and sea life with little effort as you drift down the current. We had such a fun time and couldn’t recommend this stronger to anyone else!! If you get the package with the monkey / sloth sanctuary, you’ll be going there first before snorkelling. It’s a good package imo.

  Our snorkeling adventure was the very best we’ve ever had! The dive site was absolutely beautiful, and there were soooo many incredible fish and coral to see! Our guide knew the perfect spot to see the most wildlife, and he knew the name of every fish that we saw. He was patient, extremely knowledgeable, and made us feel like family! The snorkeling was definitely the highlight of our trip! And Norma was simply INCREDIBLE! She became indispensable to us and became our guide for the weekend! Everything we wanted to see and do, she assured that we had the most incredible time! It was our first time in Roatan, and we would not have had such a beautiful time if not for Norma! She was so sweet! She took us to Punta Gorda, mangroves, etc. and she knew absolutely everyone on the island! We are absolutely family now, and we will be back for sure!
