This is a 20 minute walk in old Bisbee searching local areas for copper minerals. Then we drive to two different locations about 4 miles away to find more cool rocks. You will leave with local Bisbee minerals

5.00Sean was great! We went with our two kids, 7 & 5. It was perfect for them. We found turquoise, many agates, geodes and other fascinating rocks. Wear jeans and boots. Not much hiking but had to walk through some brush.

5.00We really had a great time. Sean was timely, friendly and very knowledgeable. He was able to explain the geology and the history of the areas we visited and was very hands on finding examples of the different rocks and minerals that each area had. We found a variety of cool rocks. Wish we had the time to do the night trip as well- guess we will do it next time.

5.00Our young family went out with Sean for both the day and night rock trips and we had a really nice time. Sean was expertly knowledgeable in geology and worked so well with the kids, answering all their questions and humoring them. We learned a lot, and came back with a lot of cool specimens.

5.00Excellent activity! Extremely knowledgeable guide,,,knows the area, knows the rocks…excellent with kids. Highly recommend. Daytime and nightime rock hounding were great. Found and got to kep many specimens of copper crystal bearing rocks, many malachite specimens , even found some meteorite fragments . Well worth the time and money. Night-time luminescent rock hounding is a MUST do!!
