We are from London but decided to book a private guided tour as we wanted to learn more about the paintings. Charlotte showed us many portraits and explained detail and history that we didn’t know, very interesting and highly recommended.

This is the best way to visit the portrait gallery! Charlotte was very pleasant and informative. She is an excellent story teller which helped keep my 10 year olds attention the entire 2 hours. We all learned a lot, so much more than trying to visit on our own. After the tour, we still had time to explore a bit on our own. Will definitely book another tour with Rebel Tours on our next visit!

What a wonderful afternoon spent at the National Portrait Gallery with our guide, Charlotte. Such a great idea to create a tour which invites people to walk around the building, ‘meeting’ famous faces from British history who made their mark through the centuries - some of whom had never previously been on our radar. We learned so much from Charlotte from Rebel Tours, who was so knowledgeable and engaging about these ‘Rogues and Rebels’. And while being educated, we also gazed upon some beautiful artwork. Would recommend taking this two-hour tour.
