What To Expect
The tour starts in the morning or afternoon at the Bath Abbey in the city center, where you will meet your guide and begin with a string of sites including Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey, the site of the coronation of the first King of England in 973. You then proceed to the first highlight of the tour, the Roman Baths. Your guide will lead the group into the Baths (if option selected) to see the fascinating items and legacies left in Bath by the Romans during their occupation of the area, and to witness the miraculous phenomenon of Bath's hot geothermal springs. In the second half of the tour, you will also take in the enchanting Georgian architecture of this charming town. From the magnificent Royal Crescent to the mysterious Circus, you see the best of the pomp and luxury of the 18th century. We proceed from the central Pump Rooms to the lavish Upper Assembly Rooms and, finally, arrive at the sumptuous Royal Crescent and the mysterious Circus, Bath offers a stunning variety of breathtaking architectural gems. The tour has been specially devised to show you the very best of the Bath. The guides are fun, engaging local professionals who will make the city’s history truly accessible for visitors of all ages. They are not going to throw a list of dates and facts at you. The guides know their stuff, but they also know how to explain it without putting you to sleep.

5.00Anna is an enthusiastic and personable tour guide. Her knowledge of the history of Bath is commendable, so much so - it makes you want to listen. At the start of the tour, she fully explained what we were going to see with an open invitation for us to ask questions along the way. There wasn't anything she couldn't answer. You couldn't wish to have a better tour guide. Anna is sensitive to everyone's needs and wellbeing and professionally shepherds her flock of tourists around Bath.

5.00Great tour, we had a guide called William who was both personable and knowledgeable (so thanks and good luck with the RAF). It’s a good way to see the city, bit steep walking to the circle and crescent for those who may find walking a little tricky, however our guide made sure everyone was there. I would highly recommend recommend this

5.00I’d never visited Bath before, and this hour-and-a-half Bath City walking tour was a brilliant introduction to the city. John, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and added just the right amount of humour throughout his detailed commentary., well engaged and welcomed questions. The tour cost £20 (not including entry to the Roman Baths), and it was well worth it! Highly recommended.

5.00Really interesting tour of the main sights to see in Bath. Our group was 8 adults and 1 really cute baby! Our Guide was John who was really engaging, funny and knowledgeable. Overall the tour was around 1.5/2 hours long but it really did fly by and we were surprised when John said we were near the end of the tour. Definitely recommend it and ask to have John!!

He took the time to remember all our names, where we were from and made the tour super interactive. We’ve done a lot of tours during various travels, but this was one of the best! 5.00Our tour experience was very good. George was polite, knowledgeable of interesting details, and very considerate. The group size was small and perfect for a family with a 3 year old boy. We enjoyed George's company through the entire walk, he is worth every penny we spent. I will recommend this tour to everyone.
