You then proceed to the first highlight of the tour, the Roman Baths. Your guide will lead the group into the Baths (if option selected) to see the fascinating items and legacies left in Bath by the Romans during their occupation of the area, and to witness the miraculous phenomenon of Bath's hot geothermal springs. Excellent tour, George was very knowledgeable and interesting. He was also humorous and personable. Enjoyed learning about the historical details that would be missed by just site seeing alone. George provided very interesting insight into historical Bath relating to the famous sites which brought it all to light. Highly recommended!

Bath has a fascinating history as a boom-and-bust town, rich with questionable characters and crazy coincidences. Our guide LJ was a delight. His knowledge of the hidden history of Bath enlivened the tour and provided insight into the town’s transformation over the centuries from Roman hotspot to Georgian gathering spot.

Very detailed history of Bath in general, our guide’s knowledge was incredible. And the inclusion of entry to the bath museum made the value overall even better. Definitely worth what we paid!

I absolutely love all things historical. Certainly authentic History. This is not authentic. The layout and booking in is organised well and the staff were very friendly. We picked our audio kits up for the commentary and immediately was disappointed to learn that the baths were built in the 19th century. There was a hint when we walked into the entrance and you realise this isn't 2000yrs old. Perhaps they built around the original??? Indeed that's what they dis. Built on it . Seeing the spring itself pumping hot water was amazing but to be honest the whole thing was spread out to take up space. Fragments of rock from Roman times but beyond that everything is 19th century. The price is a very steep day out with little in return. Sorry to bring this down, but I honestly wouldn't recommend it

LJ did an incredible job touring us through Bath. He offered history and humor through the two hour tour, and was fun to chat with. He gave everyone time to fully take in each sight and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend this tour with LJ!
