This full-day Rome tour secures timed entry to two of the city's most difficult tickets to obtain independently: the Vatican Museums and the Colosseum. Both sell out weeks in advance, and booking logistics can be complex. Your expert English-speaking guide leads a small group of no more than 20 through the Vatican's gallery halls, into the Sistine Chapel, and across the Roman Forum before stepping inside the ancient amphitheater. Between these two landmarks, a guided walk takes in Piazza Navona, the Pantheon exterior, and the Trevi Fountain, with private transportation connecting the Vatican to the city center so there is no navigating public transit mid-day. This tour is ideal for first-time visitors to Rome who want to cover the city's essential sights in one well-paced day, with all logistics handled.

A valid government-issued ID is required for entry into the Colosseum and Vatican. The name on your tickets must match the name on your government-issued ID or you will be refused entry.
Depending on your Colosseum entry time, the order of the Colosseum and Roman Forum visits may be reversed.
On Wednesdays and during other Vatican events, this tour does not include a view of the outside of St. Peter's Basilica due to closures.
This tour includes free time for lunch at your own expense.
We will be subject to a security check at the entrance to all sites. Depending on the volume of visitors, we may have a short wait in the security line.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any walking impairments that require special assistance on our group tours. We are also unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages on our group tours.

What To Expect
Vatican Museums
Meet your guide just outside the Vatican Museums entrance on Viale Vaticano, where you'll check in and receive your timed entry tickets. Once inside, your guide leads you through the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of Tapestries, and Gallery of Maps, pointing out key works of Roman and Greek art along the way.
Sistine Chapel
Still inside the Vatican complex, you'll move into the Sistine Chapel for one of the most awe-inspiring moments of the day. Your guide prepares you in advance with stories about Michelangelo's ceiling frescoes, including The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment, before you step inside to take it all in.

5.00Highly highly recommend this Tour! Our tour guide was like a walking Wikipedia she had shared so much information everywhere we went. The Vatican museums were fascinating the ceilings were so artistic and beautiful. The ancient roman forum was cool to see with the original floor levels etc. The Colosseum was great but very busy. Such a good trip.

This is a great tour for those who don’t have much time, but I would recommend breaking these sites up into sections of the city, but this tour got us inside places and we saw A LOT, it was just a lot of walking and a long day. Friendly tour guide, kept us safe, and we got around as a group pretty efficiently.
Good way to hit the major Rome spots in a day.

5.00We were in Rome for the marathon so only had one day to see all the sights, which is why we looked to book in a "Rome in a day" tour, and we're so glad we did. Our guide was Monica, and she absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Monica is extremely knowledgeable and kept everyone engaged, the tour was long but not once did we feel bored - I'm was all perfectly timed and went so smoothly. Would highly recommend booking, we wouldn't have been able to see half of the stuff we saw that day if we'd had done it on our own. Money well spent, definitely worth it. Thank you, Monica, for a fantastic tour.

5.00Raffa met us right on time at the location indicated. Her charm and charisma were recognizable immediately. She did a phenomenal job of keeping a group of 20 on schedule and exceptionally well informed and accommodating any physical limitations. She was expertly knowledge and easily answered all questions. Her lunch recommendaction was the best meal I've had in Rome!! The tour was fantastic, but Raffa made it fun.

5.00What an amazing day. This day was packed full of information but done in such a great fashion. I never felt rushed yet got all the information on all the sites. The pamphlet that they made for the sistine chapel with all the paintings was my favorite and very informative. Erturk was the best.

5.00Great day with Monica as our guide. There were about 10 of us in our group. Relaxed pace that covers a lot in one day. Great bang for the buck and your time. Well organized day. Monica is very friendly and had some light humor. I enjoyed following her around all day. She managed the group and events really well. Nice that we ended in the Collegium so one could spend as much times there as desired. The guide had lots of interesting information and good energy. We got a lot more out of the site by being with a good guide.
