This full-day Rome tour secures timed entry to two of the city's most difficult tickets to obtain independently: the Vatican Museums and the Colosseum. Both sell out weeks in advance, and booking logistics can be complex. Your expert English-speaking guide leads a small group of no more than 20 through the Vatican's gallery halls, into the Sistine Chapel, and across the Roman Forum before stepping inside the ancient amphitheater. Between these two landmarks, a guided walk takes in Piazza Navona, the Pantheon exterior, and the Trevi Fountain, with private transportation connecting the Vatican to the city center so there is no navigating public transit mid-day. This tour is ideal for first-time visitors to Rome who want to cover the city's essential sights in one well-paced day, with all logistics handled.
Service animals allowed
Public transportation options are available nearby
Travelers should have a high level of physical fitness
A valid government-issued ID is required for entry into the Colosseum and Vatican. The name on your tickets must match the name on your government-issued ID or you will be refused entry.
Depending on your Colosseum entry time, the order of the Colosseum and Roman Forum visits may be reversed.
On Wednesdays and during other Vatican events, this tour does not include a view of the outside of St. Peter's Basilica due to closures.
This tour includes free time for lunch at your own expense.
We will be subject to a security check at the entrance to all sites. Depending on the volume of visitors, we may have a short wait in the security line.

Vatican Museums
Meet your guide just outside the Vatican Museums entrance on Viale Vaticano, where you'll check in and receive your timed entry tickets. Once inside, your guide leads you through the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of Tapestries, and Gallery of Maps, pointing out key works of Roman and Greek art along the way.
Sistine Chapel
Still inside the Vatican complex, you'll move into the Sistine Chapel for one of the most awe-inspiring moments of the day. Your guide prepares you in advance with stories about Michelangelo's ceiling frescoes, including The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment, before you step inside to take it all in.

Never book a trip with Viator. They are worthless. They charge lot of money and do not cover everything what they promise as a package for any tour.

We had a great experience on the Tour Guys walking tour with Monika our guide. We would recommend this walk tour if you are interested in detailed information about the historical sites of Rome and don’t mind walking. We started at the Vatican and after short hop in mini bus continued through the centre of Rome. Therefore this trip is not ideal for those with mobility issues even though there are several stops along the way. There was a fantastic lunch stop before the Roman Forum. Note you need to pay this yourself. If you are interested in whistle stop tour through Rome to see the main sights then this is the trip for you. However, whilst you stop Trevi Fountain you don’t get an opportunity to get close to Fountain. However, we returned the following day to visit this when it was less busy and got some great snaps. Close up access to Trevi fountain is two Euros.

Our tour guide “The Tour Guy” was the best! This tour was so meaningful and just right since we only had one full day in Rome.
