We had an amazing tour of Sarajevo with Alen and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Alen is incredibly knowledgeable. Every question we had was answered in thoughtful detail. From the very beginning, he made us feel welcome and comfortable. What really stood out was how much we were able to see and learn in such a short time without ever feeling rushed. The tour was perfectly paced and packed with fascinating insights and memorable stories. If you’re visiting Sarajevo, this tour is an absolute must!

Our tour guide Mak is awesome. He shared his personal experiences during and after the siege with us. His insights are very valuable to me as I could learn so much more about what happened and how life was like. Thank you! I recommend everyone coming to Sarajevo to take this tour.

Fascinating, sobering, and truly insightful. Definitely one of the most thorough, all-encompassing tours I’ve ever taken. Mak was fantastic, and I was beyond honored to learn his country’s history and hear his personal experiences. Very touching. Highly recommend.

Very memorable experience, the guide is very sincere, enthusiastic, professional, let personal experience of the heavy history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the locals during the Siege of Sarajevo feel and energy, also let you see the vitality and hope of Sarajevo. The guide Alen is very good and knows the local good food and fun. Recommended especially for friends interested in this history;)

Mak was an excellent guide. He is a true scholar with an encyclopedic knowledge of the history of the city. His personal story brings great perspective to the historical facts. You will get to see all of Sarajevo, not a superficial "happy tour" of the touristic areas. Highly recommended!

I’ve gone on tours all over the world, and this one is truly unmissable. Mak takes you to places around Sarajevo that you likely wouldn’t reach on your own, or even notice without the context he provides. Seeing the Tunnel of Hope was especially powerful with someone who has a first-hand connection helping translate its significance. What stood out most was Mak’s openness in explaining not only what happened during the siege, but the political context, local sentiment, and human realities behind it. He answered every question thoughtfully and thoroughly, and the insight he shared gave real meaning to the places we visited. I left feeling genuinely grateful to have benefited from his knowledge and perspective. The experience will influence how I think about Sarajevo, the region, and even modern conflicts elsewhere. Mak did an exceptional job, and the company is fortunate to have him representing both their brand and the city so well. The operator was extremely helpful and responsive, communication was smooth, and the tour was more than worth the price. If you’re visiting the city — no matter how long you’re staying — I would prioritize this tour.

This tour is definitely a great opportunity to learn more about Sarajevo in general, but specifically about Sarajevo during and after the siege. Mak was a fantastic guide - I couldn’t have asked for more. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and generous with both his expertise and with sharing his personal experiences of life during and after the war. Though I was the only person on the tour (I was there during the off-season), Mak ensured the experience was just as thorough as it would have been with a full group. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in this tour and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting this incredible and complex city for the first time.
