Explore a portion of the famous Routeburn Track, one of New Zealand’s ‘Great Walks,' on a day trip to the stunning Mt Aspiring National Park. Hike at a moderate pace on a trail that rises gradually from meadows and forest towards snow-capped peaks and hear informative commentary about the region and its flora and fauna from your expert guide. Lunch and snacks along with round-trip transport from Queenstown are included.
Must be able to manage a steady 2-hour incline to Flats Hut and possibly a 1.5-hour steep hike to Falls Hut. Rocky paths, slippery surfaces, uneven ground with exposed tree roots, steep inclines and declines. The group must stay together so perhaps the Half day hike might be more suitable if you don't think you are fit enough?

We had an amazing day! Fiona was a great tour guide, she was very knowledgeable and made the day spectacular. We had perfect weather, no clouds and no rain. Jumping in the water was definitely a highlight! Would recommend to anyone who likes a hike (intermediate) but stunning views

Our guide Paul did a great job of organizing our full day hike. He picked us on-time from our hotel, along the way we learned more about the area and the different hikes. We were very glad we did the small group option as it felt more personalized to our interests - also super glad we did the FULL day hike. It gives you time to get truly up the mountain and see far more of the Routeburn track. Its not a hard trek, but bring poles if you have them. Lunch, snacks and waters were provided. There is one very cool spot to get into the water, bring a swimsuit or at least a small towel if you want to get your feet wet. About 75 is in the shade, so it made for a nice trek during an oddly hot day.
