  The hike to the Korouoma Canyon was truly amazing. The scenery was very special, especially the frozen waterfalls and the meandering dark red river in the canyon, next to the white snow and green trees. The contrasts were spectacular. The guide Greda was a gem! The pace as just right, and she really took amazing pictures. I was happy to have the option of vegetarian sausages. Thank you.

  Great place. Short (free) hike to beach about 15 min away called Lehtojarvi Beach. Bring extra bottle of wine and hot chocolate for sharing in your igloo. We did both igloo and hotel. Staff is excellent! Don't forget to sign up for aurora alarm.

  Jorge, our guide, is such a lovely person! We had a great time with him and a nice group of six people. They pick you up from your place, drive to the office to get proper winter clothing and boots. Have a warm drink and go to the toilet. Then we set off on a 1 hour 30 minute drive; the hike is moderate and the place is beautiful! If necessary, they will give you spikes. We stop for a warm drink. In the end, we stop for barbecue :) and then return.

  Wow, I’m so glad I took part in this excursion. Five us set out from the Rovaniemi town centre on the 90 min drive south east of the town. Our guide was Andrei from Romania. He was informative, passionate, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic and friendly. He was everything you want in a guide. The hike was 5 km and lasted around four hrs. This included an hours bbq lunch. We had hot dogs and a hot blueberry drink. There were also local chocolate treats. We chopped wood and really got involved. We saw all the waterfalls on route. Plenty of photos were taken. Wet weather gear was provided and we were looked after. Safety was never overlooked and we really had a great day. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The only negative part was when I saw a guide from another group also working for Arctic Gm.   Absolutely incredible experience on the Korouoma Waterfall hike with Arctic GM! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and the scenery was nothing short of breathtaking — frozen waterfalls, peaceful forests, and that crisp Arctic air. A special shoutout to Corantin, who truly made the day unforgettable. His friendliness immediately put everyone at ease, and his deep knowledge of the area, nature, and local history added so much richness to the hike. He was also incredibly patient throughout, making sure everyone felt comfortable and could go at their own pace, which really elevated the whole experience. On top of that, his photography skills were amazing — he knew all the best spots and helped capture some stunning shots we’ll treasure for a long time. And the BBQ — wow. After the hike, enjoying a perfectly cooked meal in the middle of the wilderness was the cherry on top. Corantin’s BBQ skills are seriously impressive and turned a great excursion into an exceptional one. If you’re considering this hike, don’t hesitate. Five stars all the way!
