Ranua Zoo

5.00We booked the Ranua Arctic Wildlife Zoo Park Tour & Hot BBQ Lunch with BookLapland, and it was absolutely fantastic. The wildlife park was beautiful, and seeing Arctic animals in a natural snowy setting was a unique experience. The BBQ lunch was warm and satusfying enough — perfect for the cold weather. What truly made the tour exceptional was our guide Mirco. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and very informative. His knowledge about the animals and life in Lapland made the experience much more meaningful. He was kind, attentive, and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the day. He also took amazing professional-quality photos for us, which was such a bonus! We were so impressed that we immediately booked the Riisitunturi Snow Monsters tour just to have him as our guide again. Highly recommended!

5.00Mirco was our guide on this tour and we honestly couldn’t fault him. His professionalism and knowledge of the animals were outstanding. As a family, we love visiting zoos and have seen some incredible animals over the years, but this experience was something else entirely. Being taken around by Mirco, hearing the history of the zoo and the animals (where they came from, their ages, and their stories), alongside learning about Finnish culture along the way, made it truly special. Mirco was fantastic with the children — patient, engaging, and really knowledgeable. The BBQ he prepared for us was delicious, and a lovely added touch. A real highlight was the surprise the following morning when we received the professional photos Mirco had taken of our family with the animals during the tour. That was completely unexpected and so appreciated. We would highly recommend this tour to any animal enthusiast, and Mirco as a tour guide — an unforgettable experience.
