    • Great walk through the villages

Picked up on foot from our hotel, communication beforehand was very good. The group initially looked pretty big but we then seemed to split into 2. The walk goes straight from Sapa town through the rice fields and villages, last stop is lunch and then a minibus takes you back to town by 2pm. Very very muddy and slippery sections of the path so make sure you're wearing the right footwear - walking boots, walking trainers or wellies. There was other women on the trek from the villages helping people out if they needed it. Beautiful scenery all around from start to finish. We accidentally went at the perfect time just before harvest season so got to see the rice in full bloom and some being dried out too. Also a lot of children selling bracelets etc, which was hard to watch at times. One place for a toilet stop and drinks to buy as well. Lunch provided at the end was simple local meat and veg dishes, noodles and rice. No description of what any of it was so pack snacks if you're not open minded. Only downside was the group separating a lot, the guide didn't do so well keeping us together as was needed with different capabilities in one group. also a lot of other tours doing the same route at the same time so sometimes got a little confusing.

The trek was awesome !! Sue, our guide was excellent and we had a good group which makes a difference - the young boy who was there to help on tie slippery bits of the trek was a real little gentleman ❤️

The Sapa 1 day tour was perfect to get familiar with the villages and see the beautiful surroundings. The trekking had its difficult moments when we were covering muddy sections, but going slowly and carefully, the trekking turned out to be a great experience.

Went trekking with the group on a light rainy day. As expected, the trail was muddy, slippery and partly flooded at times. However, the locals were generously helpful to make sure the group and I could make it through the whole path. The rain did help make the trekking experience more cool in temperature. It was an overall nice trekking experience. The only thing that I felt unsatisfied was that only I was put with another table for lunch with a different trekking group of unfamiliar people who were already eating midway. I understood that the larger table for our trekking group could only seat enough for everyone else. However, I'm not sure if it was because I went to this trekking solo that our tour guide suggested that I should sit with another trekking party. Slightly uncomfortable experience having to had trekking with a specific group, and suddenly not enjoy the end of the tour with the people I experienced with.

If you love taking risks and living dangerously, this trek is for you. Picture hiking through muddy, narrow, and dangerously steep paths with practically nothing to hold on to—such fun! The best part? The guide didn’t warn us about how dangerous the trek would be, so you would be pleasantly surprised. After this thrilling trek, you'll have the perfect excuse to buy new shoes, socks, and pants, and you’ll have a great story about your "near-death experience" to boast to your friends. Perfect for those who are physically fit and mentally unhinged.
