What To Expect
Complejo Arqueologico Chinchero
We pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 am, then we will go to the town of Chinchero, which is located about 45 minutes from the city of Cusco, in this Inca town we will visit one of the textile centers where we will see the demonstration of dyeing of alpaca wool with natural dyes as it was done in Inca times opting for the natural colors of plants and some minerals, after seeing this demonstration we will visit the Inca citadel of Chinchero where we will see palaces, temples, agricultural terraces among others .
Salinas de Maras
After visiting the archaeological zone of Chinchero, 25 minutes away we will visit the 3000 famous salt mines pools where we see how people harvest salt as it was done in the time of the Incas.

5.00We had the best day on this tour! You will leave feeling like you’ve seen all the highlights from the sacred valley. Our guide, Alfredo, was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the Incas and the various sites. We learned a lot! The itinerary itself was also great. It’s an 11 hour day, which is ambitious, but Alfredo and our driver, Alfonso, made the whole experience go by fast. They also knew which areas to go to first to avoid the really large tour bus crowds - at each site, we were leaving as those groups were entering. I will recommend this tour and company to anyone coming to Cusco.

5.00We had the pleasure of a private tour with Alfonso and Alfredo to the fabulous sites for a full day. Their extensive knowledge was invaluable. Nothing was too hard for them. The tour avoided many of the crowds and took some of the off the beaten tracks to see things big tours would miss. It was a highlight of our trip.
