1st stop: a coffee factory where we will teach you the manufacturing process ... and where you can enjoy the roasted coffee under your eyes and also do your shopping at a lower cost! Then we will visit a family cigar factory that develops its own ranges ... cigars will have no secret for you! And if you are amateur a tasting will be proposed to you !!
Boca de Yuma
Let's discover the area of Boca de Yuma, a fishing village located on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic and only at few hundred meters from the National Park of the East! The village is on the top of cliff and offers a breathtaking view !! On the program, a little of history with the visit of the museum of Ponce de Leon. For lunch we will go to a restaurant with breathtaking views of the Caribbean and a sinkhole ... a reason to drink at your visit of the day and enjoy local specialties (seafood, fish ...) After lunch we will have a ride on the Yuma River where you can see the Cofresi cave, known as Robinson Crusoe, who discovered the village in the 19th century. We will then go to the back of the village only accessible by small boat...here we will discover the fruit trees, meet the villagers... We will then leave Boca de Yuma towards the village of Benerito On the way we will stop in the sugar cane fields to explain you the cutting process.

An excellent and rewarding day in the Dominican lands and by the water, very good meal in a very nice restaurant by the sea with an excellent attendant and her guide. And above all, a visit to a coffee roastery, a craft cigar factory and a museum.

This Safari was amazing, loved that we could see the locals and eat amazing sea food. We were 4 friends to do it and all of us enjoyed it soooo much, specially the cigar stop, that they made us try some of the local products!!!!!! IF you really want to have a lovely memory about an authentic experience with locals and not be over crowded with others. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We did this family excursion, so rest assured with children it is quite feasible! We discovered the yuma boca village, sugar canes, coffee factories AND cigars... We really enjoyed meeting the locals AND especially not being in a crowd of touists! In addition as we were a small group for the outing, we were able to ask the guide to stop in a village of sugarcane cutters and meet the children, give them candy!!

We had in the past known Quetzal and enjoyed the sea trips...but we must admit that we were very pleasantly surprised by this Safari trip Beautiful small group experience (less than 10 people), which makes the experience very pleasant Beautiful encounters, new places where we did not meet any tourists...I recommend this excursion to as many people as possible And what about the lunch, 100% seafood, in a restaurant with incredible sea views. We had taken with us some supplies for the village children in the afternoon, do not hesitate to take things from the hotel (soap, cream...) it pleases them. Thanks again to our guides Wilton and Joy for all his information exchanged during this excursion We will come back to see you next year!

Discovery of the real Dominican Republic, far from clichés. A team of guides that is present for you, without rushing you. Here, unlike the tourist excursions sold in hotels, we take the time to explain, accompany you and make you discover. Thanks to Joy for her smile, joie de vivre and skill. Thanks to Winston for all his knowledge about his country, his kindness, and all in impeccable French! A stop at noon in a beautiful restaurant by the water, for an excellent meal. I can only advise you today.

If you want to get out of your hotel and sightseeing tours, then this tour is for you. Quetzal offers you a dive in the authentic Dominican Republic. You will discover the history of coffee, cigars and sugar cane and especially you will take a walk as close as possible to the real Dominican Republic. With bonus, the lunch break which is a treat for the taste buds and for the eyes. Small group outing, beautifully accompanied by Winston and Joy. Thank you both for a wonderful day!

Wilton was an absolutely AMAZING tour guide! We learned so much from him during the day and we 100% enjoyed our excursion. We would definitely recommend this to any other DR visitors looking to see the local culture and get off the beaten path. Our day included a visit to a local coffee shop, a cigar factory tour, a tour of Juan Ponce De Leon's home, a beautiful and delicious lunch on the coast, and an educational visit to Boca de Yuma. We had such a good time and made so many memories!

Superb outing that changes from the traditional beach. Discover yuma boca in small committee. From the passage in the sugar canes, to the small boat ride in the river, the changes of scenery are impressive! stop in the restaurant at lunch, where the food is excellent, fish and lobsters! the view is breathtaking! in the afternoon, visit a small typical village, then head to the roaster! tasting of coffee and chocolates, gourmets will be satisfied! finish with the cigar factory at the top! I recommend 1000%
