We saw many animals on this boat ride. It was really nice. As for the cultural and rum tour we had them cut it down in time some because it was so hot outside, but it was interesting to learn about both.

What an amazing day! Eddie was the best tour guide and went out of his way to make our day extra special. We saw so many crocodiles and monkeys in the river boat cruise then had a delicious home made Costa Rican lunch. Rum tour was very educational and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to learn about Costa Rican culture.

This trip was amazing. Alex did a great job during our tour and explained everything really well. He was friendly and very informed. The river was beautiful but I think my favorite part was La Hacienda El Viejo where we learned about sugar cane and the rum made by Sabandi. This trip is a must if you go to Costa Rica

Chris and the crowd at Amstar have done a wonderful job of putting this tour together! From meeting Mr Beans (ox) to our boat ride and seeing White Faces and Howler monkeys, to the wonderful lunch and relaxing, this is a WONDERFUL excursion! Kudos to Chris' knowledge and willingness to deal with our Rum experience 🙂 The rum is good and we bought our own bottles-- very fun!! Highly recommend!!

Miller was a professional from start to finish. He understands exactly how to make a trip special, and from on time pickup to each segment of the tour, we were unrushed, and went at a comfortable pace. He took videos and photos as well which was unexpected and delightful. Our tour included the Hacienda El Viejo for a cultural tour where we met well-treated animals and made masa tortillas, then we went to the Palo Verde River for a quiet cruise where we saw tons of crocodiles, birds, lizards, and monkeys, then back to the hacienda for a delicious CR lunch. We skipped the rum tour bc we don’t drink, but it seemed like it would have been fun as well. All in all, incredible — We recommend Guanacaste Dreams for any of the tours they offer!!

Got to learn about sugar cane and how they use it at a farm and Rum Distillery. We got to use the old sugar cane extracting machines with an Ox called Curro. We got a tour of a Rum distillery and got to blend our own bottles of Rum. Next we went on a boat tour of the river and got to see the White Face Monkey, birds and some crocodiles. Miller really was a great guide because of his knowledge of the wildlife and the trees in Costa Rica. We will try to use his company for our tours next time we visit. Thank You Miller!
