Since the thirteenth century, the city is known as the mining center of this resource, and the mine was founded thanks to Saint. Kinga. The mine is a labyrinth of underground pavements with a length of 300 km. It is a valuable monument of material culture and technical thought. Visiting the Mine takes about 2-3 hours and takes place on several alternative routes. Travel time from Krakow to Wieliczka is about 30 minutes. This is a tour with a private transfer from Krakow. 5.00Everything went smoothly, excellent communication from the tour operator, we were picked up from our accommodation. Very interesting tour of the salt mines. The tour involves lots of walking and lots of stairs. Highly recommend the whole experience.

5.00Such a great place to visit. Totally blew me away and a must see if you are anywhere near Krakow. Groups are small (20 in ours) headsets are given so you don't miss a thing. A lot of walking but not strenuous at all and all the stairs are downward with a lift back up. We booked through Trip Advisor and had a hotel pick up and drop off from a great guide who pointed things out on the journey and told us some history too. 4 hours in total - great value for money and a great morning out.

4.00We really enjoyed the tour. The queue was not too long and our guide was helpful and very knowledgeable. We were taken to the mine by taxi and out driver Tom was brilliant sharing with us his recommendations about restaurants and places to visit.

5.00Absolutely brilliant experience. The tour company kept us updated and our driver, Daniel arrived on time keeping us updated on his way. Everything ran perfectly and glad we chose Krak Tours for our experience at the Salt mines. If your hesitant about booking them, dont be. Book them and they will look after you from the start, right back to your drop off point. Daniel even went the extra mile dropping us at Wavel castle afterwards instead of back at our hotel.
