Tour was excellent, Connor was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and personable. It was a long day doing both tours. They don’t tell you until on the bus that you can’t eat on the bus. But you only have a short break between morning and afternoon tours. So best to bring a lunch and eat before you leave Hallstatt. It poured rain and hail during our SOM tour, so we all had to run in the rain to see the Basilica in Monsee. It was still worth it. Of course we had a few arrogant stragglers return late to the bus, which I think cut our time short in Maribell Gardens. Otherwise the day would have been a 5 star. (And that’s not Connor’s fault). Thank you!

Connor was a great tour guide for both parts of the tour (sound of music and Halstatt). Bus was clean and comfortable and had great views of the countryside. Just enough time in Halstatt without being too much time. Information provided on Sound of Music sites was good and quite interesting. A great way to survey Salzburg and the surrounding area in a short amount of time.

Please note that this is two separate tours. Both are great and offer different vibes. The Hallstatt tour is purely a calm, direct bus ride to the village. The guide points out points of interest along the way. Be sure to sit on the left side of the bus, otherwise you’ll miss out on most of the views. Your bus will return and then you’ll immediately get on the bus for the Sound of Music tour. Don’t expect to have free time in between. The tour is fun and informative! Don’t go if you don’t want singing. The tour is about a MUSICAL after all 😂

The morning tour to Hallstatt was excellent, our tour guide Connor was great and the town of Hallstatt was beautiful…..however the sound of music tour in the afternoon was hugely disappointing, the tour was obviously overbooked and we were hustled into a small 8 seater vehicle instead, I had done the tour back in 2019, loved it and was really looking forward to sharing the experience with my 3 friends, it had been a highlight of our trip….the vehicle was claustrophobic in the rear and we could hardly hear what the driver was saying. If we were on the large bus I would be giving this a five star but I was extremely disappointed knowing how good my last trip was in 2019….if this happens to you don’t let them talk you into the small bus, there is no comparison to the atmosphere on the big Red bus……I’m still feeling very angry that my friends did not get the same experience I had in 2019 and in my opinion it was a waste of money!!!!

Nice day. Lovely visit to Hallstatt. Had 2 hours which was ample time to take in the views and enter places of interest. Connor was a good tourguide. Although I enjoyed the Sound of Music tour, the two tours together were a lot for one day. I'd suggest that you break them up over 2 days. Andreas was an enthusiastic tour guide.

Max was our guide for the Halstatt tour and he was very interesting. Halstatt is a beautiful, scenic place with lots of interesting shops and well worth a visit. After that tour I did the "Sound of Music" tour with my guide, Jose. He was fantastic - he made the tour so interesting and he was so entertaining and charismatic. He knew so much about the film and had also met the real family behind the story in person. We all had such fun singing along to the songs and everyone had a personal reason for being there. I grew up with all the music as it was my mother's favorite film and I felt that she was there with me, enjoying a trip she sadly was unable to do in her lifetime. For me it was truly an unforgettable experience and one not to be missed. Thank you Jose.

For serious fans of “The Sound of Music,” the opportunity to hear the inside secrets of the family, and filming, seeing the location of their lives and movie sets, and sharing the time singing with other fans, is unforgettable. For casual fans, you will be drawn into the excitement and fun of the experience, making it unforgettable for you as well.

Oh! What a beautiful tour this has been. Our Hallstatt tour guide Charles has been narrating the stories about the picturesque town of Hallstatt beautifully. Our Sound of Music tour guide, Simon had been just awesome. He is a great storyteller. The way he explained the shot/ incidents about the shooting of the film, it was as if we were living through it. I will highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Carry cash as some vendors only accept cash. Wear comfortable shoes and unless its summer dress in layers.

If you are doing the both trips ensure you take a packed lunch or grab a sandwich in Hallstatt as there was no time between the two trips to grab a sandwich. Both guides were fabulous Mitch, on the Sound of Music Tour was so much fun and really friendly. If anything we would have liked more singing with the lyrics shown on the bus screens to encourage singing. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and were made to feel special throughout the trip (Sound of Music) Both trips were very well organised and we really enjoyed both.
