If you are doing the both trips ensure you take a packed lunch or grab a sandwich in Hallstatt as there was no time between the two trips to grab a sandwich. Both guides were fabulous Mitch, on the Sound of Music Tour was so much fun and really friendly. If anything we would have liked more singing with the lyrics shown on the bus screens to encourage singing. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and were made to feel special throughout the trip (Sound of Music) Both trips were very well organised and we really enjoyed both.

We had a wonderful experience with Panorama Tours, and the weather was nice and sunny too. Max, the tour guide for Hallstatt, was experienced and gave lots of details and stories on the way. The second half of the Sound of Music tour was conducted by Jose, who was funny and informative. The whole bus was full, and everyone enjoyed singing all the way. Awesome trip!

An absolutely fabulous day! Hallstatt was beautiful, but the Sound of Music tour was everything we expected and more. Our tour guide Kylie just made the whole experience so special and memorable. A day that will stay in my heart 🥰

This was such an amazing experience!! We only ended up doing the Hallstatt tour, but I have no doubt that the Sound of Music tour would have been just as wonderful!! The tour guide was very welcoming and enjoyable while he was explaining the different sights. I would definitely recommend this!! We would do it again!!!

Booking both experiences is a great way to make the most of your time in Salzburg! Hallstatt is a stunning town, and the stops on The Sound of Music tour were amazing. The tour guide, David, was fantastic as well!

We enjoyed the whole activity since departure until arriving back to Salzburg. The tour guide provided sufficient information that was insightful about the places we were passing by and ultimately about the beautiful village of Halstaat.

We had a very good day and enjoyed the visits to the lakes and mountains in the morning and the Sound of Music in the afternoon. The guide was most informative and highly entertaining. It made the tour more than what we expected. Many kudos. Murray & Karen McCullough

The tour started at 8:15 and drove about 1.5 hour to Hallstatt. Along the way we past a couple of lake regions. They used a double-deck bus and I considered it too crowded. Seat space was tight. Air circulation was barely sufficient. When we reached Hallstatt, they dropped us off there for about 2 hours doing whatever you want. But the skywalk was closed so I won’t know whether it was worth the trip. We boarded the bus at 12:10 leaving for Salzburg. The second half was “Sound of Music” taking off around 2pm. That was a great tour with four stops. The bus was clean with good air. The tour guide did a very good job singing and taking pictures for the group. We were back around 6 where we started the tour. If I have to do this part again, I would recommend skipping Hallstatt and just take the “Sound of Music” tour alone.

Make sure you don’t double book! I booked this tour and later found Bob’s Special Tours doing a similar tour but with less people! It was so much more personal than the big bus tours. I Lost $336 because they said I was past the 24 hour mark to be refundable. I was at the booth at 8:07 the day before the tour.

Hallstatt Tour information was very vague. Sound of Music - a splendid experience. Full of fun, very informative, entertaining and good value for money.
