Unforgettable! Nicolas shares with great enthusiasm and passion the traditions related to his culture and animals, telling us the story of traditional objects of his family, the customs of Kiruna....

We had a great day with Niklas and his reindeer. We were picked up and then drove behind the snowmobile to his camp. We got a lot of explanation about the reindeer and the Sami culture, were allowed to take care of the reindeer and got a nice lunch in a warm tippie. Niklas takes good care of his animals and it is a genuine and beautiful experience. We were allowed to ride with the sledge and reindeer Billy and got lots of hugs from Rosie. All in all, highly recommended to book this tour! Small group and lots of attention to the animals!

From the moment that we were picked up, Nicholas was very friendly , professional, attentive, informative and very proud of his Sami heritage. Lots of questions and he was happy to share his knowledge with us all. He introduce us to his herd , fed them and interacted with the reindeers, although shy and wild, with forest foraged snacks they became almost your best friend. We rode on a reindeer led sled around the tracks by ourselves, which was amazing. We then headed into the teepee around the warm fire to have a light refreshment of combination of salted / smoke reindeer and moose meat which was cooked over a hot plate. This was served on warmed up souva type home made bread on a bed of crème fraiche mixed with lingonberry jam. It was simply delicious and beautifully cooked by Nicholas. Finish off with homemade hot lingonberry tea We did not know what to expect but this was an experience that was amazing with a very knowledgable proud operator. It’s a must do on your bucket list and highly recommended to all. A truly magnificent morning day outing ! Thank you Nicholas for the memorable time and day spent with you

Our morning with Niklas was one of the highlights of our trip to Northern Sweden. We really enjoyed spending time with him and meeting Nasti, Rosa, Billy and especially the handsome Ghost! The reindeer really all had their own personalities. Niklas was incredibly generous in answering our questions and we enjoyed getting some insight into the Sami way of life and how younger generations are carrying traditions forward while modernizing where it makes sense. The smoked moose souvas Niklas prepared was delicious, and we appreciated the opportunity to warm our feet in the lavvu on a day where temps hovered near -30C. Felt like a real slice of life in northern Sweden and is exactly the kind of connection and experience we look for when traveling. Was not surprised at all when my teenage son said this was his favorite experience of our whole trip .

Ottima esperienza. Nikklas, the owner, is kind, friendly, and engaging. His reindeer are super friendly, and the food experience is spectacular. The tour consists of seeing and feeding the reindeer, taking a short sleigh ride, and then off to the tepee for a hot meal. The temperature was -37 degrees, but it was spectacular. (P.S. they are close to the ice hotel, and they will pick you up and take you back to your hotel if you want)

We had an incredible experience on the Sami reindeer tour with Nicklaus. He was a genuinely kind, warm, and knowledgeable guide who made us feel so welcome. Learning about Sami culture and traditions was fascinating, and the reindeers took us on a truly magical adventure around the camp. It’s a memory we’ll treasure for a long time. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area.
