This San Blas day tour to the Cayos Limones region was an unforgettable experience and absolutely worth it. The islands are stunning—crystal-clear water, beautiful beaches, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a true escape. The itinerary was well organized, and we were able to visit multiple islands, swim, and relax without feeling rushed. That said, be prepared for a long commute. The early morning 4x4 ride is bumpy and takes a few hours, followed by a boat transfer, so it’s definitely a full-day commitment. Also, don’t forget to bring your physical passport—it’s required and checked. The staff and guides were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made the entire experience enjoyable. Overall, despite the travel time, I would absolutely recommend this tour.

So glad we took the time to do this trip! We were provided with all of the info needed to have a great time. Yes, it is a 2.5 hour suv ride from the city, yes, the last hour is curvy roads in the mountains, yes, it is a long day and you should bring snacks. We knew all of that going in and had a wonderful, unforgettable experience. We met great people, our driver and guides were knowledgeable and professional, had good food, saw beautiful crafts, and unplugged for the day. If i had to choose one thing to tighten up is the handoff from the driver to the tour guide. There was a little confusion when we arrived but it was eventually resolved.

The tour started off fine. The pickup time was generally when it was supposed to be and the SUV was comfortable. However the tour was not as advertised. We only did 2 out of the 5 stops from the itinerary and no kayaks or snorkelling gear was provided as indicated on the tour description. The water at the first stop was pretty dirty with lots of bottles, cans and other garbage underneath. The last stop was the best with some coral reefs further out but everything closer to shore was dead. We were rounded up at 3pm, got to the dock around 3:30 and had to sit in a van with no AC for over an hour waiting for more people to show up. The ride back was horrible without AC and the seatbelts in the back did not work. Absolute robbery given the price.

Very entertaining and full of nice surprises. The conversation with the driver was very informative. The guide was less talkative. The last island, where we spent the most time, was beautiful, but its beaches were shallow, while the island with the wreck, full of multicolored fish, was a little short.

Fascinating to see the Guna women making their molas by hand. Their art and traditions add so much soul to these islands!

Took the kids and they loved the starfish! It's an adventure to get there, but the crystal-clear water is safe and perfect for families.

The fried fish lunch with patacones on the beach was the perfect closure. Eating in front of the sea, without a cell phone signal and surrounded by palm trees, disconnects you from the world completely. It is a rustic experience where what matters is the freshness of the food and the peace of the environment

What worried me most was the 4x4 road up the range, which they say is dangerous. But our driver was a total professional; he knew every corner and bump by heart. Although the van is shared with others, the atmosphere was safe and the vehicle was in excellent condition. If you get dizzy, sit ahead, but you can trust Guna drivers, they are experts in their terrain.
