What To Expect
South Mission Beach Park
South Mission Bay Park sits at the southern tip of the Mission Beach peninsula in San Diego, right where the ocean meets the bay channel. The Ocean Front Walk begins at the South Mission Bay and runs north/up the peninsula for biking, jogging, or strolling. Fire pits make this a nice spot for an evening bonfire by the beach.
Ocean Beach
After setting sail from Mission Bay, you'll head towards the open Pacific Ocean. In just 10 minutes, you'll pass through the jetties and enjoy a scenic view of Ocean Beach's famous Dog Beach and the iconic Ocean Beach Pier before venturing into the vast blue waters.

5.00We weren’t lucky enough to see any whales but there were dolphins and lots of seals etc. the really nice touch is since we didn’t see any whales on this trip they gave us a coupon that will never expire and is good for another trip.

5.00With my wife and our 2 kids (8 & 10),we had a wonderful experience on this whale watching trip! The crew was amazing! Everyone was very friendly and made the tour very special from start to finish. We saw some whales & dolphins, we couldn't have expected a better trip! We can't wait to do it again! *** Don't forget to take a jacket, it gets cold when you're out at sea!

5.00Our family had an absolutely wonderful time on this whale‑watching cruise. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a great experience. We were lucky enough to see whales up close, and a special highlight was how they captured some truly fantastic moments during the trip. The photos were available (for cost) to download afterward via a link, which made it easy to relive and share the experience with no pressure to need to capture that perfect wildlife shot. Thanks Alison and team! An unforgettable outing and highly recommended for families!

5.00What a great trip with an awesome host and crew! It was a perfect afternoon trip and we saw three whales and a hundred plus dolphin! It was such a fun trip with great sites and really knowledgeable crew. Captain Mike knew exactly where to go and our biologist guide Allison was the perfect guide telling us so much about what we were seeing. The boat was perfect with great accommodations and very roomy. Over 100 of us and not crowded at all! The two deck hands were friendly and so helpful with those that were not quite feeling so good. Oscar in the galley was friendly and helpful too. We’ve been to SD hundreds of times so I’m not one to do the touristy things any more but since we had a special guest we figured why not, it’ll be fun. Boy was I surprised on how fun this was! Wish I would’ve done it sooner! Next time we’re planning on going at sunset. I definitely recommend the trip, binoculars are a good deal, priority boarding upgrade, not so necessary. Definitely worth the money and time. Enjoy the trip!
