I did the Sand Harbor Clear Kayak tour. It was amazing. The water was super clear and we got to kayak past huge boulders. It’s a short bus ride to the beach where they give you instructions . We were given granola bars and water for the tour which came in handy because all that exercise works up an appetite. At Bonsai Rock the tour guide climbed up on the rock and took pictures of each kayaker and then air dropped them to our phones after the tour. He also gave me some recommendations for restaurants in South Lake Tahoe.

Organized and smooth experience. No previous experience necessary. I could easily have taken my 6 yr old granddaughter in a double kayak. Kayak is wide and not the traditional small hole and seat type. Morning was smooth water and no wind. Snack and water provided. Kayak is not tippy and guide makes entry and exit easy and controlled. Worth the fee. Beautiful photos and peaceful experience.

If you’re going to do a clear kayak tour in Tahoe, go early in the morning—it’s pure magic. Our small group of three lucked out with calm water, and since storms were forecasted for later in the day, we ended up having the whole area of the lake to ourselves! Brian, our guide, made the experience unforgettable. He’s passionate about Tahoe, full of fun facts, and somehow turned a cloudy morning into an epic photo shoot. The slightly overcast sky gave the lake an ethereal glow, and he managed to capture IG-worthy shots that my friends swore looked like another planet. He even suggested filming from the bottom of the kayak to show the massive rocks underneath—such a cool perspective. Another thing I appreciated was that I got my own kayak since I was traveling solo. Others can go tandem if they prefer (the mother and daughter with me did), so it’s flexible depending on your group (unlike some other kayak tours that will force you to go tandem with strangers—um thanks, but no thanks lol). Either way, gliding across one of the clearest lakes in the U.S. is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommend this tour—and if you’re lucky, you’ll get Brian as your guide!

Our guide saheath was so obnoxious. He talked nonstop and didn’t let anyone even ask a question. He is VERY political and even discussed his view on slave labor in the prisons and his view of American facism. So annoying and inappropriate. We also hardly paddled anywhere, he wouldn’t let anyone take photos, and was aggressively bossy. Just a really disappointing trip and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Good even for a beginner kayaker, but still requires endurance to paddle for over an hour of the tour and the water can be choppy. Ethan was our guide and did a great job... very personable! Thank you!

10/10 highly recommend!! All the staff were extremely friendly and genuine, Dave, our transportation coordinator, was very friendly, kind, and got us all sorted out before heading out. They provided lunch bags with granola bars and boxed water (a nice touch, especially when out in the sun) and also dry bags to keep belongings in. Well worth the price, and got a lot of paddling time in to both get to our destinations, and just explore the area. Our tour guide Ethan, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and always ensured we were well taken care of. He took time as we’re paddling or exploring to get to know each of us on the group a little better which make it more fun. There were also pictures taken which they AirDrop after we get back on shore, which is nice - some posed photos near the rocks, and action shots. This trip is great for beginners or pros, and they do review paddling techniques, turning, etc. prior to going out on the water. Our guide, provided us good history and background about Tahoe and the lake which was interesting (didn’t know Lake Tahoe was the 2nd deepest lake in North America!). Pro Tip: Book an early morning tour to avoid the crowds, especially if booking on a weekend in the Summer.

Parker was a great guide and interacted with every body on the tour. A little bit of humor mixed with fun facts about Lake Tahoe.

This was an awesome kayaking experience! The water is so clear and clean and the clear bottom kayak allows you to see the views under the water. My husband and I really loved it. Our guide, Ethan, was the best. He was very knowledgeable and even took some pictures of us to remember our day on the beautiful alpine Lake Tahoe.
